Tested headset for the last week and found it very good with only 1 complaint. The Mic has is very poor sound quality. Have found the solution by replacing the USB power supply to the the amp with a larger Diameter USB cable. with Fixes the poor mic and Sounds even better. Would give it 5Stars but it shouldn't of been sent out with and inadequate rated USB cable in the first place..
I had the eariler Astro A40 Headphones and mix amp, this new 2013 version of the Headphones are audibly better than the old versions…the new mix amp pro has the extra four EQ modes which is a welcome addition over the previous version…this allows to inject more bass into some games that need more bass impact. I will however be keeping the old mix amp version as well because I felt it sounded better, a more natural balanced base and mid-section, with playing music and when paired up with a high end pair of Headphones (Ultrasone Edition 8's) sounded better than the Mix Amp Pro combined with the 2013 A40's…however the 2013 A40 and Mix Amp pro combination is unbeatable in the Gaming and Movie area…only my 2 cents
