It literally does what its meant to do if you're pc has DisplayPort and you're monitor has HDMI.
I was expecting this to be of average quality but its robust and was reasonably priced for a 2m cable. I had just recently purchased a new Monitor and was using the D-sub(VGA) analogue cable as I didn't have HDMI output so I got this cable and was wow'd when the digital signal kicked in.
Suitable for connecting computers to monitors that do not have a DisplayPort, i.e. Flat Panel Televisions.
