Stocking Stuffers for PC gaming enthusiasts!

By Ben

While most people are decorating a tree this time of year we PC gaming monkeys are busy decking out our computers with all sorts of pretty (and practical) fans and heatsinks because this time of year in New Zealand means two things are coming up fast – holiday gaming and summer heat!

While other parts of the globe are getting their snow on things here are already beginning to heat up and while this kind of weather is great for a trip the beach – it's not so great when we are trying to keep our gaming rigs cool for that all night gaming session!

The coolest thing about these mods is that they are very easy to install, pretty cheap and make for outstanding stocking stuffers that will actually get used by PC gamers – no socks this year!

The easiest gift of all – case fans!

Most chassis only come with a couple of fans to get that air flowing and a lot have additional mounting points so you can add more which often really improves the system temperatures and helps to keep performance at optimal levels.

If you're unsure which fans to get then 120mm is the safest bet as almost all PC gaming cases use these (I can't actually think of any that don't).

You can even make that rig glow with some excellent LED Case Fans – do they have a favourite colour? We've got great options available in blue, red, green, purple, orange and white!

Is a silent nights gaming more their thing? Try our Be-Quiet, Silent Wings!

With not a single LED to be seen the BeQuiet SilentWings family provides the greatest airflow-to-noise ratio and highest reliability on the market.

The key to these fans’ unrivalled and uncompromising performance are a unique airflow-optimized fan blade design, custom anti-vibration mounts, and a high-tech fluid dynamic bearing with copper core that greatly reduces noise and imparts super-long life.

Through this advanced technology these fans achieve virtually silent operation without sacrificing airflow, and so offer the perfect balance between superior cooling and serenity.

If you know a bit more about their setup you can really treat them with fans that are made for specific configurations :) Have they talked about their water cooled rig before? – if so you might want to get them special fans that are made for radiators like the ThermalTake Riing Radiator Fan or if you know they have the Baboon Gorilla Rig then treat them with a 200mm Cooler Master Red LED fan to match the build perfectly!

Check out all these and many more great options in our Mighty PC Cooling Jungle today!
