Ever since its initial release, the Street Fighter series has remained the most popular fighting game franchise on the planet. In celebration of its release, we've got Ultra Street Fighter IV set up in our showroom on our massive Full HD Projector!
Continuing the tradition of excellence the series is known for, five new characters and six new stages have been added for even more fighting mayhem, with rebalanced gameplay and original modes topping off this ultimate offering.
We've already had countless debates here at Mighty Ape HQ about who the best character in Street Fighter is, but we figured we'd let all of you contribute to the discussion as well!
We've got a copy of Ultra Street Fighter IV up for grabs for the best argument, so make sure you're persuasive! Simply tell us who your favourite Street Fighter character is and why in the comments below and you're in to win a copy on the platform of your choice!

Sagat - He is just a better Ken/Ryu
Guile, because he just blows me away (with his Sonic Boom)!
Dhalsim was and still is my favorite character. Chose him because everyone else chose characters which were fast and had good attacks. With a lot of practise, you can utilize Dhalsims long range attacks and teleporting to your advantage. Prefer to challenge myself as well.
Juri, because man she can make people mad
Blanka - when everyone goes to land a move on ya button mash (not sure if button combo has changed since my day) his electric attack :p
I'd say Ryu just because hes the headline character so everybody plays him first and hes just fun to use.
Juri, because she enjoys smashing the other fighter just as much as you!
Chun-li for sure, spinning-bird-KICK all the way.
Ryu, theres no other reason except HADOUKEN!

Who doesn't like a huge sumo slapping someone in the face multiple times?
Dhalsim. I always use this character when I played at the acrade during my school holidays when i was young :D The reason why I choose Dhalsim is because of how his limb could stretch to attack his opponent, thinking that would give me some advantage. This game would be awesome to relive past memories for some of these people including me!
Dan Hibiki, because he's just an average Street Fighter looking to become the King of Fighters in Mortal Kombat. He may not have Killer Instinct, but he has a lot of (Arcana) Heart!
Also, his pink gi shows that he is unafraid to show off his awesome style.
Ken, simply because of his flaming dragon punch. Shinryukeennnnnn!
Guile. Because his theme goes with anything.
Zangief because he does not let his large size and slower speed stop him being competative against the smaller faster opponents, and he has mastered to art of the spinning pile driver of doom!
Plus he trains by drinking vodka and wrestling bears. What more could you ask for.
Rose - one of my favorite characters' and because her first ultra can land whether an opponent is airborne or flinches for a second.
Poison because she's the man!
Akuma - nothing is more satisfying than finishing a match with lp lp -> lk hp then taunting your opponent by standing up and striking the pose.
Ryu - easy to use and is the coolest character
Akuma just for his attitude. And he remains the only character I could do his ultra move in the arcade
Ryu because he is a classic model of the series and very well designed
Guile - because of his awesome hair and moves.
Guile!
Because when he isn't punching faces with his flag-tatted, all-American guns, he still has time to go home and be a family man.

Blanka has been a mysterious person since the beginning of street fighter serious, I always used the Shock move to trick the other player it would annoy just about anyone until guile came along learn some new tricks and got better after.
