Author Biography

Nicolas Koff is a trained architect, landscape architect and member of the Faculty of Landscape Architecture at the University of Toronto. He is also the co-founder of Projexity, a Toronto-based platform that enables individuals and organizations to showcase and gather engagement for community improvement projects. Prior to co-founding Projexity, Nicolas worked in some of the world's most innovative design firms, including MAD in Beijing, Ateliers Jean Nouvel in Paris, and Field Operations in New York on the winning entry for the Qianhai Water City competition. Nicolas has previously also been active in research and academia at UPenn, working with Mark Alan Hughes as Research Associate on the creation of "Sustainability 101" (a cross-disciplinary course on environmental sustainability), and at the Penn-Tsinghua TC Chan Center on the UPenn Sustainability Plan. Nicolas graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a dual M.Arch/MLA and from the University of Toronto with a Hon. BA in Architectural Studies and East Asian Studies.
