There is a free PC driver/application for it that works really well.
The surface is very slippery when using the pen, so it's not a paper feel and it takes a little getting used to. Tip. You can try taping paper to it.
The pen nib has to be pushed reasonably hard to register a “click”, so it would have been nice to have a button on the pen too.
Depending on software it can detect just the pen, or fingers as well (eg, for zoom functions)
It has most of the PS3 buttons on it including the PS button, directional ones and the shape buttons as well as start and select.
The bundled software is OK. Basically just a simple art program. Works like “Paint” on a PC, with some added tutorials. It can upload pictures from PS3 to access over the internet.
There's not much range of software for the PS3.
Accuracy is reasonable, and build quality is good. It works really well wirelessly – easy to connect and use with AA batteries.
The pen is corded, and mine tends to get caught behind the tablet, so I have to keep flicking it free.
Overall more of a toy than an artists tool, but great to try your hand at digital art. I would have rated it “good”, but for the price I paid I think it earns an “excellent”.
