Turtle Beach Ear Force PX22 Gaming Headset reviews

Sound quality is great, the functionality and compatibility with other devices (PC, mobile, etc.) is also very handy! Mic quality is brilliant and overall a great headset. Would have given five stars however one thing to note is that users with glasses may want to look elsewhere and there is not sufficient space to comfortably wear glasses for a sustained period of time along with the headset. Solid value for money and a brilliant headset! :D

I finally can hear something so nice and soft it doesn't even hurt my ears when wearing it it to long great headset

This headset is the best decision I've made. I have a PS3 – works great. I have a computer – works great. My brother & sister have an Xbox 360 – works great. Used it on my mobile phone – awesome! I no longer use my PS3 headset – this one has better quality, flexibility and so much awesomeness oozing out of its pores. Does it have pores- Don't know, don't care – it's [INSERT COLOURFUL METAPHOR HERE] awesome!

The cord on the amplifier is really long, which is great because whenever I had to recharge my PS3 headset, I had to be close to a metre from the TV to listen and play. Now, I can sit back a few metres! Yeah the cable might get in the way, but it's a small price to pay!

I highly recommend this product. I got my brother to buy this brand – he got the headset for the 360, but he doesn't look like he's regretting it either.

Has great sound and controls on the clip, but the mic creates white noise from how clear it is, and if the volume on the controls is maxed, you're able to hear static noises. ( I have owned 2 of these headsets)

Headset is very good, like all TurtleBeach products, however the plugs are annoying and take multiple removals and inserts to get the sound to kick in properly through windows 8.

Works great when plugged into TV/console.

Only other issue is the volume controller is very heavy.

It's quite comfortable to use however after long periods of use , it start hurting your ears . Definitely not suitable for people with glasses.

Functionality and the compatibility with plenty of devices (computer, HDTVs, smartphones, tablets, last-generational consoles) etc is a real must for me.

On the downside are the tedious annoying lengthy cords etc but this should come as no real surprise by now to anyone who has bought Turtle Beach headsets, this one being my 3rd Turtle beach headset I got last year in 2014, the first being the pitiful MW3-branded one which gave up on me and the XL1. All of which I've bought through the reliable online service of Mightyape.

The Tritton Warhead is frankly a better choice for online multiplayer gaming. The Ear Force PX22 is a decent OKISH choice for gaming on console but also it can be used on other media devices, that is its selling/sticking point and also the fact that it is not that expensive for those who do not want to spend more than $200 on a crazy, expensive, beast headset. This is probably Turtle Beach's best, most affordable headset, not mentioning or comparing PX22 to the more upto date expensive 7.1 beasts on display…

A great headset perfect sound and perfect bass and really comfy recommended and the price is insane.

Works well on laptop and tablet, but disappointed that adapter is needed for xbox. Enjoying overall.

I had my px22 for about 4 months before the wiring became shot in them, I then purchased a new one, as I thought it was my fault, after 4 weeks of the new px22 they had started to have the same problem where the analog cables were worn out and broken. But this headset has had the deepest most lovely audio that I have ever used in online gaming, and all the features just make it top up the list a bit more.

These things are great. Volume controls are heavy but there is a clip attached to attach them to you collar. Sound is fantastic and when going, I very really hear any noise to distract me.

I'm a huge fan of turtle beach but I've bought 4 of this headset over the last year & a half because it was the only one I knew of to record for gaming videos. The sound quality is awesome & sits well when worn but the adjustable part isn't good at all. It can snap easily. Unfortunately I've had to switch to another brand.

This has good mic, terrible cables and driver sucks so bad, there is a slight high pitch noise from the mic and sound quality is average espically for this price range, its just 2.1 stereo sound nothing special, head set isnt the most comfortable on ears but is quite lite

This is a good headset, but I have had 2 of them break in the exact same way after about 1 year each. The hinge linking the headband and the speaker breaks, i'm not handling it roughly or anything, it just snaps when I pulled it off my head.

If you're looking for a top quality headset without spending a lot then this is the perfect headset! Bonus is that its compatible with pretty much anything, both consoles and wireless devices such as phones, mp3 etc. So if you swap to a different console you want need to worry about getting a new headset. I own one and its brilliant, its a 2 in 1 both headset and headphones!! Theres also an aux input so you can listen to music or take calls while you game! :D

I've had this head phones for over a year now, and it's still working good! Would definitely recommend this product to new consumers looking for their first gaming headphones!

No complaints! Exactly what I wanted and needed. Works perfectly with gaming on the PlayStation 3 and PC. Is also great for listen to music in high quality. I would very much recommend if you are after a gaming headset.

I brought my px22 today and hooked it up with everything working fine, but the microphone isn't working, it is basically broken!

Love this headset. I bought it because I play PS3 XBOX360E and PC games. Works perfectly on all platforms, controls on the inline amplifier are great, I was worried they wouldnt work very well on the xbox but they are at their best on the xbox. Very cool and I highly recommend. Cheers Mike.

Picked this up from mightyape after I broke my old wireless headset (some manufacture who no longer makes them anymore).

• Sound from games, voip, videos are all crystal clear.
• Nice soft foam cushion on the top of the headset makes wearing the headset for long periods of gaming comfortable.
• Soft foam cushions on both ear pieces are just as comfortable.
• Mic is crystal clear, no static when talking into it.
• Bass and Tremble on the side work well for a headset.

One thing to note, as stated in “Jacob's” review, i will agree with him that people with glasses (i wear glasses myself) “may” find it every so slightly a tiny bit uncomfortable if you wear the headset for long periods of time as the headset is held on very securely to your head.

But overall definitely a great buy, have not regretted it since I purchased it. o(^0^)v

The mic and surround sound is good. The negatives are if you talk to loud it picks up distortion and any background sound but overall I am really happy with it. For the price I paid its really good. Good value for money.

I had the chance to preview these at a LAN event before buying them. Needless to say, once I tried them on, I didn't want to go back to my old set of cheapies. OH MY GOODNESS they are good. Crystal clear, pumping bass, separate chat and game volume controls… mate, these rock! I can't recommend them enough, and rave about them to all my mates. (They're sick of me now… lol).

The headset is very easy to set up and get going, and works with pretty much anything. That's about were the positives end though, as after using it for about an hour it gets very uncomfortable placing pressure on the ears, the audio quality is tinny, and the mic leaks in game audio.
