Author Biography:

Before starting at BookLife, Rebecca Phillips-Bartlett graduated from the University of Cambridge with an MPhil in Education (Critical Approaches to Children’s Literature) and the University of Surrey with a first-class BA (Hons) degree in English Literature. During her studies, Rebecca studied a myriad of children’s media across a range of genres and forms exploring effective strategies for engagement and comprehension. Alongside her academic credentials, Rebecca has years of experience working as a facilitator and extra-curricular drama teacher, giving her the opportunity to inspire and motivate young learners. Both her academic studies and her teaching experience allow her to create books which encourage children to be curious, engaged and informed about the world. Allen Joy C. Magno's artistic journey commenced at a young age, a perpetual exploration that has defined her life. From contributing to her high school's editorial newspaper to pursuing a Multimedia course at Mapua University, she cultivated her creative prowess. Intrigued by the publishing industry, Allen translated her passion into a career, delving into traditional printing and ebook creation at a Philippine publishing company post-graduation. Currently thriving as a graphic designer in a skills training company, she sustains her artistic pursuits. Allen envisions a lifelong commitment to art, fuelled by the unwavering support of her family and friends, who serve as constant wellsprings of inspiration in her creative endeavours.
