"Brilliant- Pure JJ Abrams Genius"
5 stars"

Star Trek Into Darkness was a fantastic and entertaining film with cool characters, a twisting storyline and the best special effects which have ever been applied to Star Trek. The film was definitely done justice by the all star cast- including the awesome Benedict Cumberbatch and the comic genius Simon Pegg. Definitely worth the money and must be part of ANY Star Treks fans collection.

"Decent Follow up to the Brilliant 2009 Reboot."
4 stars"

While not quite reaching the highs of his first Star Trek film, the sequel is still a marvellous film in its own right. Into Darkness focuses a lot on the relationship between Kirk and Spock, with a wonderful tribute to a memorable scene from the Wrath of Khan film included in this one. Benedict Cumberbatch does very well as the villain and most of the cast from the 2009 film return and acquit themselves well. Overall a decent enough film that sets up the franchise nicely for the future.

"Not what I expected"
2 stars"

As an action movie it was good but as a major Star Trek fan this movie was complete rubbish, Star Trek has been around for a long time & I have loved every bit of it & now they have completly ruined it by changing things that do not need changing. Don't get me wrong has some great bits but if your a Star Trek fan I would hire this first then if you enjoy it find one of Mighty Apes great deals

"Great not just for fans of Star Trek, but for everyone."
4 stars"

I am a huge Firefly and Star Wars fan, but have never been a huge fan of the Star Trek series. Ive enjoyed a few of the Star Trek films, namely The Wrath of Khan, The Voyage Home and First Contact among others, but none of them have clicked with me as well as Firefly or Star Wars had.

However, the 2009 Star Trek film was a delight, a film of both visual pleasure and just pure joy. Something about the film felt fun and happy, something that Star Trek hadn't really felt since The Voyage Home.

Though I didn't enjoy Into Darkness as much as I did the first reboot, I thought it was an enjoyable sequel with enough twists, turns, and great performances to carry it.
