Saints Row 2 (Classics) reviews

So, who else was dissapointed with the lack of diversity in GTAIV? Who missed all those side missions that were so much fun! Well don't worry because Saints Row 2 is here!

Now, I never played the original so I can't compare it to Saints Row 1, BUT I can compare it to everyother GTA. And… I would say this is GTA: San Andreas on steroids. A quick run down is in order:

1. Graphics are not as polished as GTAIV but still good enough to be classed as a new game. Far better than the old GTA's, and from the looks of it, better than the original SR.
2. Gameplay is way fun! Its stupid, but fun. So many excellent side missions and great story missions. The London accent I gave my character cracks me up.
3. Car handling is a bit of a joke. You get used to it, but I wish they had given the cars more weight and momentum. Also the helicopters are not as easy to fly as GTAIV which was surprising.
4. Cool radio stations. Gen X radio rocks!

You won't be dissapointed by this game. It'll give you some good laughs.

Now… who wants to system link and do the whole story in co-op?

Simply put, Saints Row 2 is very… simple, and don't think that's a bad thing. I don't think I've ever had this much fun with a sandbox game on my 360. I mean, sure, GTAIV was amazing, perhaps one of the best games I have ever played, but it did lack that ‘fun factor’. Assassins Creed was great fun, but I really did get sick of stabbing a few people and skipping across roofs. Saints Row 2 will cure you're craving for violent, gun blazing, slapstick humour sandbox gaming.

I mean, once you start up Saints Row 2 and finish the tutorial, you're free to do whatever you like, look however you want and kill whoever you want. There's nothing more satisfying that hijacking a ‘Septic Avenger’ and spraying every grandma, prostitute and half-naked rollerballer down with an unlimited supply of high pressured excression.

Dont ‘think’ about buying Saints Row 2… Just BUY Saints Row 2.

Having just spent the last 7 days playing this game i can safely say that i wasnt disappointed. The gameplay for this game is nothing short of excellent with many different options available for customisation which seems to be a big part of this wether its your crib, cars or your person it offers something thats been done before but hasnt been done well. its all the small things that makes it an excellent game to play but after not wanting to put this down, and spending 3 hours a day playing it, its one for the collection (prob not the best if you havea partner)

This game seriously steps up a notch from game 1 and alot more violent then the 1st game and it even though it has some glitches. It was worth the price for the fun. Let;s hope THQ has downloadable content for this game.

More of an over the top cartoon-ish version of gta. This game really never gets old!

Though I gotta admit, it's far more straight-faced than it's sequel. A very large tonal shift between the two

This game is closer to GTA then the third in the series and is both longer and has a much better story then the third, it is crazy and silly but it is really like an extreme gangster movie in a way and it does have some seriously dark and deep moments in the story.

It's gameplay isn't unplayable but it has aged a bit and if possible I recommend playing it system link or online (no splitscreen) with a partner. For the price it comes at it is a great game with so much to do.

Myself, I believe saints row is way better then Grand theft auto any given day. It's more fun to play and it allows you to do more

This game is alot like gta but u can pimp up cars get way more cheats and is alot of fun u could spend all day playing it and 2 is way better than 1

From all the hype I heard about it, I was kinda disappointed.

Saints Row 2, SIMPLY FANTASTIC, the story is very cool and easy to get into, the game play is very fun and fast paced with soooooo much action with the go anywere free roam gameplay.

Not only can you steal cars, bikes, truck and jeeps, but also private jets, old school areoplanes/fig­hters. Also some very cool helicopters.

If a fan of the 1st game like i am, then you will absolutly LOVE “Saints Row 2” the side missions are great, even got “Hitman” side missions which is very fun to do. All up this is a must buy with awsum visuals on the explosions and city scenery. Deffintly a must buy, BIG THUMBS UP THQ, bring on the third instalment.

Extremely large amount of things to do in the game, play the missions, customize some vehicles, find hidden spots, play the mini games or just terrorise the population. The graphics aren't too different from GTA 4, also there are alot more vehicles, such as: quad bikes, stock cars, harvesters, aeroplanes, diggers, bulldozers, monster trucks, and jet ski's, as well as cars, trucks, bikes, helicopters and boats. One of the best things though has to be the investments, being able to buy businesses means you get a daily payout, which means you always have cash to buy things, like ammo, which you always seem to need more of.

You want destructions? you want mayham? you got it. saints row 2 story continue from part 1. but this time there are more activities to do around still water including blazing run, people control, fuzz etc. this time you own 3rd street saint and have to work your way from 0 back to the top of stillwater food chain.

Only one thing missing…there is no ‘hot coffee’…R18 but no hot coffee…sad sad sad
