For fans of Sci-fi or if you're just getting into comic books/graphic novels this book is for you. It has adult themes and art work so I wouldn't recommend it for younger readers.
I loved it. The story and art work are terrific.

I was ordering a Wacom tablet from here and randomly added Vol1&2 of Saga on my order. I had heard of it before and thought it looked interesting. BOY was I surprised at how good it is. I now have all 8 volumes of Saga after reading the first one only a few weeks ago. I'm currently up to volume 6 and it's still amazing. You won't regret buying this.
I really enjoyed this graphic novel. The art is great and the story arc unfolds in surprising ways. I read y: the last man before this and will be looking out for more of Brian Vaughan's work in the future.
The artwork, the storyline, the characters, it's all great… Highly recommend this comic.
Nearly put me off comic books. I was recommended this by a speciality shop in Sydney for my first stab at reading comic books, and I hated it. I AM a sci-fi fan, I AM mature, and I DO read a lot – I just found the characters boring, the “unique” points of difference uninteresting/stupid (alien assassin spider lady with permanently bare breasts- Probably awesome for teenage boys…). Artwork's good though ;-) But as a starting point to comic books, I'd recommend something classic like “Watchmen”, which really did it for me. Saga is just the latest hype.
I love the Saga series. Since reading volume 1, I've collected the entire series of graphic novels. The story is amazing and keeps you wanting more. Highly recommended.
