"Great graphics, but really needs a wheel to play."
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

The graphics, and sounds are delicious, it is best played with a good speaker system turned up quite loud for best effect. The developers also made a great job on the physics, hence the crashes are almost more fun than the driving, the big thing for me however was that as I play with just the keyboard I found it just too difficult to handle the cars well enough to actually win many races even on the basic setting. Just touching the arrow keys to turn results in an oversteer. Perhaps I will hang on to the game until I get a wheel to get the most out of it, right now I can only give it a 3 at best unfortunately.

"Very Good Game"
4 stars"

This game is fantastic. Physics is great, cars aren't bad, and the tracks are great.

However, online can get frustrating, as the cars can get destroyed quite easily, so you have to be careful not to hit anyone, otherwise people get very angry at you, and aims to destroy your car, making you sit out for the rest of the round!

"Excelent wheel support"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Bleeding great game. excelent range of races, nice handling, nice damage, and its bleeding difficult at times. And despite some people claiming it doesnt support a wheel… they obviously havent used google. out of the box, wheel support is a joke, but if you turn off driving aids – specificaly the one that tampers with understeer – you instantly get perfect steering on a wheel. (saying this with a logitech momo – meaning anyone with a g25 will have excelent support). excelent game, with an awesome range of races – it never gets dull and boring.

"Once you learn how to control the cars it rocks"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Another Racedriver game and like Racedriver 3 (which incidently I recommend) you get to drive various cars from touring cars to open wheelers around some of the world's top circuits including Street circuits. Graphics are excellent and have pit bosses to boast you as well as a sexy sounding female manager. On the down side controlling the cars is not easy and it takes a lot of practice. Once you've done that its well worth the money so if you like car racing games then go for it.

Very happy with the product and service

"Great way to kill some time..." Purchased on Mighty Ape

Excellent game, great graphics, but a controller or wheel is an absolute must.

Being ‘Games for Windows’ it only accepts the XBox controller. If you only have a standard controller there is a hack available to allow it to emulate the XBox version (Just search Google for ‘xinput’).

Must agree that online play can be frustrating if you bum out early in a race by totaling your car, but that's the nature of racing.

Will continue to thoroughly enjoy this game for some time.

"Simply the best arcade racing game yet"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

GRID is nothing fancy. It doesn't try to be the latest and greatest simulation. It doesn't try and use any flash, unrealistic arcade gimmicks, like blur, split-second, or mario kart! What it does do, is provide a solid and fun racing experience.

It's one innovation is “flashback”. A feature which allows you to turn back time should you totally mess up a corner. This is an absolute god send! I can't even begin to remember the amount of times I've been leading a race to mess up on the very last corner. For those of you who are hardcore, this feature can be turned off, and most of the time it has limited use so you won't be rewinding for every small mistake you make.

Overall it is by far the funnest racing game I have played in a long time. The pure sense of speed and power is enough to keep you smiling, especially in the faster cars. The tracks and races are short but sweet. Never long enough to bore you. The addition of a radio communications with the pit and a menu system that actually calls you by your real name is awesome! Throw in sponsorship and the ability to hire other drivers on your team, makes for one solid experience.

Highly recommended.

"What Is The Difference Between Real Life And GRID?"
5 stars"

I'm not very much into race driving games as much as I like to shoot people and stuff. But when I bought Race Driver GRID I had my changed in a flash. Race Driver GRID has all the varieties of different types of racing. Track, Off-Road and Drifting. So there is something for every type of person. Along with these different types of racing is the realism in this game! If you crash it deals out real damage, when you drift you can actually control everything on the car AND you can actually destroy your car but don't worry it does give you a chance to rewind up until a certain point and try again. Also one thing you have to have with realism is the Graphics and the Graphics are a big fat 11/10. So if you have a nice beastly Graphics card and even if not you will still get taken for the ride of your life! 5/5

"Hi-speed arcade blast"
5 stars"

If youre after a true simulator, then stick to GTR2/Evolution – if you're out for a high speed arcade style blast, then this is it! The gfx engine is brilliant, running extremely well on my FX60 SLI (2× 7800) system, detail on the cars is spectacular. Its an easy game to pick up and play and is a hoot at LAN parties when doing drift battles and demo derby's. Grab some fun today :)

"Thanks for the reviews"
5 stars"

Thanks for the pros and cons of the reviews. They helped me purchase this game and to my knowledge is awesome.

Every simulation purist has to let off steam and break the rules. This game to me is an arcade type racer, but fine tune your G25 and you can have both worlds. Handbraking with the clutch is my fav. Watching replays on the big screen..priceless. Everything about this Codemasters game engine rocks..

"Stunning Graphics And Gameplay"
5 stars"

This game rocks, I've played the demo and I'm definetly planning on buying it. It may not be the most realistic of driving games in the sense of handling, but realism doesn't necessarily define fun. Though the physics and graphics did blow me away. The amount of damage you can do to your car is incredible, and there are some really nice particle effects in this game.

"So - So. Pretty but way too fake"
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Graphics: good, Car detail: good, Realisim in physics engine & handling:Non Existent. This game really reminds me of V8 Supercars1 where it took a bit of playing to get used to but you could take hairpins at over 100 if you got it right… But yeah right! The thing is the game is geared towards players who have controller pads or play on the keyboard, that is great for those people but for the rest of the “wheel purists” (as Dave states) out there forget it… Bruce was right when saying “The game is not that much of a simulation feel to it but its fun to play and easy to pick up”, where Dave might be right in saying “This is by far the best game you can possibly play with a keyboard before it gets too simulated, and I can see that Wheel support is all there for you purists” I disagree in that the wheel suport is not there… REECE “has” to be playing on a controler not a Wheel…

If you have a wheel (preferably a logitech G25 & race in manual 6 speed with clutch) then forget it & just stick to GTR2 for Race Track Simulation or Richard Burns Rally for Rally. If you want not hard but arcade style off road then Dirt is ok but McRae Rally 2005 was the most fun arcade style off road out there for fun not realisim… I guess this is the same, really easy & far from true but games are meant for games not simulation right…

BTW “NFS”… Yeah right a real need for speed fan would want at least some realism…
