"PES is back!!!!"
4 stars"

Bought the demo on PS3 network last night and I have to say that pro evo of old is back. Great game play making for some fluid football and you really have to watch where you pass the ball cause now it just dosent go automaticlly to your player. Only can play the demo with 4 teams but have 10min halfs so get plenty of time to get the feel of it. Worth buying this one. Didnt give it 5 stars cause I havent played the full version yet.

"Promising indeed.... Is she back?"
4 stars"

Konami have introduced great drag and drop menus, the gameplay preview looked very good with its use of manual passing and how this incorporates into the subtleties of the game and its ‘feel’ (central to any sports title)… The player likenesses etc are uncanny and while Fifa still has the licenses and the hearts of many-a-fanboy… I think I might give this one a look-in instead of Fifa this year (even if currently dearer) now that 360-degree movement has arrived and the Fifa through-ball could now be exposed as a tad cheap now that manual passing is going to be central to PES 2011 (below each player is a stamina and power gauge during play as well as the shooting bar from previous iterations, while the square pass can actually find your man now!)…

Yes, the commentary will still be drop-dead awful (lol..) and some quirks may remain (they may not though, as certainly does look smoother and like it plays a better sim of soccer – check the youtube vid of the 7 mins of gamelay and on 720p if can)… But maybe that's all part of the Konami charm.

This swagger and gameplay-focus soured in recent years, as they got lazy with a product that had been once upon a time so superior over Fifa… But now I think they mighta bounced back… Fingers crossed…

Time to kit up? Could well be.
