PS4 Dual Shock 4 reviews

I have two DS4 controllers, and they are very good; on par if not better ergonomically then the Xbox One controllers. HOWEVER, there are problems with the thumbsticks. The rubber is very grippy, however it does become prone to wearing thin and breaking. To combat this i suggest buying a set of compatible Kontrol Freeks (www.kontrolfreek.com)

Such a brilliant improvement over the original Dual Shock design which had been around for far too long without any ergonomic update.

Comfortable to hold for long sessions of gaming. D-Pad is an improvement from PS3 too.

Solid as all hell. Im using mine for pc with DS4Windows a free program you can download.

Best controller you can get for pc. Hands down.

The Controller itself is awesome, really like it. However I've not had to have 3 controllers replaced due to the thumbstick rubber issues. Sony need to do something about this.

Using it on my PC with InputMapper. Everything works perfect, even touchpad!

For some reason ever since opening I have notices that the buttons and triggers on this controller squeak a lot. Worst of all is the L2 button which makes a hell of a noise when ever it is pushed.

Product arrived after 2 days speedy delivery, unimpressed that the controller comes without a controller, Sony should rectify this.

Many improvements over the DS3; the grips, thumbstick shaping and spacing, the triggers. A better total package. If you own a PS4 you will require the DS4, however, even if you are a PC gamer this is a accessory worth owning. Now natively works with windows so less tinkering required than the DS3, so I would definitely recommend this for your PC gamepad needs.

Yup. Definitely controls the games in a controlled fashion. I feel very in control when using this controller.

This charger works really well and looks good too.

Hopefully the rubber doesn't come off on the joystick as it did on my original one. Haptic feedback really good.

Amazing Controller, only let down from the ps3 controller is that the battery doesn't last as long. But that's minor. Overall a great design, better fit in the hand and a pleasure to use. Would suggest getting thumb-grips for the analog sticks as they decay/rip/tear within days of use

I recieved this product yesterday and I was pleased to see that it arrived in a well packed box padded with over sized bubble wrap, and was in original Sony packaging.

Awesome controller. Big step up since the Dual Shock 3 and the touch pad and light bar add some neat functionality which make gameplay on the PS4 just that much better.

I think its the best controller i've ever used (and i've used a lot!). But the only thing wrong with it is that the rubber on the thumbsticks wears out VERY quickly. To have to replace an entire controller just because the rubber has not been made durable enough to last anymore than a few months really annoys me. Either Sony did not test the controller vigorously enough or they are just trying to make money off people buying controller after controller due to the short lifespan of them. I'm considering attaching my own rubber grip to the thumbsticks when the current ones wear out. No way i'm buying a new controller every few months. Other than that it's an absolutely brilliant controller in every which way but if they don't fix the rubber issue people are gonna start getting pissed off!

The ps4 controller is probably one of the best controllers out there. How ever it doesn't mean it's perfect. Having to take fingers away the action buttons to swipe the touchpad has sometimes gotten me into trouble in some of the games. One step closer to the perfect control.

It's a good controller but the thumb grips wear too easily. Bought this not long ago and the rubber on the thumb sticks are pretty much nacked. Doesn't get used much as the missus doesn't allow it too often haha

The Dualshock 4 is a great improvement to the Dualshock 3 with great added improvements. Love it

This new PS4 controller is amazing in every way and a massive step up from the PS3 controller. It fits amazingly snug in your hand and your fingers rest comfortably on the triggers. The touch-pad is an added bonus and you can use it to control massive world maps like that in Assassins Creed 4. The controller has a ‘share’ button that you can utilize to stream your gameplay very easily to Twitch and the like. You can save and edit 15 minutes of gameplay as many time as you wish and then upload to facebook etc. Rechargable battery, with no need to buy extra charge-packs with AA batteries. You can't go wrong with this controller at MIGHTYAPE… They have the cheapest one and I've checked everywhere. I'm very happy I got my extra controller from this site

Great controller in the way of comfort and userbility but the battery life is very short lived
