I have been a fan of the musical for years and have been waiting for a film-musical version to be created – and this was beyond my greatest expectations. Without a doubt one of the most tear-jerking films. It was absolutely amazing.

Definitely brings out the tears, as Les Mis is designed to do, but some parts dragged on far too long (the part in the Chapel at the beginning) and Anne Hathaway's acting is way too over the top and try-hard – she did NOT deserve that Oscar.
