It's been five quiet years since the Chili Peppers' last album, the double-disc Stadium Arcadium. The 10th Red Hot Chili Peppers album opens in chaos: the primordial rumblings of a band tuning up for a jam, perhaps for its first in a long time. But I'm With You pulls them back from the abyss, bravado intact: “Ticktock I want to rock you like the Eighties,” The peak moments in the Album: I'm With You balancing both swagger and sensitivity.

The Chilis have done it again I'm with you is yet another brilliant album with the new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer which plays guitar, piano and sings adding a new area to listening. This Album has song that are range from slow an soft to hard and fast with a great Anthony rape. The lyrics with tame you and the sound with grab you by the neck. I'm with you is a must buy for Chili fans and a 10/10
The Chilis manage to retain their funk and melodic sounds while expanding on them even more with disco and influences on Monarchy Of Roses and Factory of Faith as well as afro-pop inspired rhythms on Ethiopia and Did I Let You Know. Kudos to Josh for managing to add his own spin on things without sounding like a carbon copy of Frusciante by taking the back seat to Flea and Chads driving rhythms and just adding what the song needs. A solid album entry to their discography and promises of even greater things to come from this line up of the band.
I have been a big fan of the chili's for quite a few years and am always excited when they release another album, this time however I was a little disappointed. It came across a bit too pop for my liking and found my self skipping through quite a few of the songs. Better luck next time boys!
Best album yet, only one that could match it would be Californication.
This new album is easy on the ear and its simple to understand the lyrics and the music is excellent. This is a great cd to listen to whilst driving as it is not hard work to concentrate on. The booklet is informative. This album is top class.
