Halo 3: ODST previews

I must say, when I first found out that you are not a Spartan but an ODST I was a bit sceptical about the whole thing. But as soon as I found out about the free roaming and saw all the preview videos for ‘firefight’ and the campaign, where you found out what happened to new Mombasa after ‘Chief left, I was intantly hooked and forgot the fact that you are ODST, not a Spartan. I personaly reckon this game will be a big seller and can't wait for it to 'drop’ September 22nd.

I wasnt looking forward to this game at all when i first heard about it. Then i did my research and from what ive seen this looks like it could very easily outsell Halo 3. There isnt as much Campaign gameplay (5 hours compared to halo3 which had 7 hours) But ODST certainly makes up the difference with the huge amount of online play possible and the new firefight game mode looks awesome(A Little like horde off gears 2 but bungie said there are alot of differences)

I have always loved the halo series and this should be a good addition. It is a bit more tactical than the others in the series, but i think that will be nice and fresh. The firefight mode looks to be a bit like a cross between Nazi Zombies from COD:WAW and GOW 2 Horde mode. Also, to clear any confusion up, there is no new multiplayer for ODST, there is simply another disc with ordinary Halo 3 multiplayer, and every downloadable map ever release for halo (plus three extras). The only thing that dissapoints me is that there is no matchmaking for Firefight, like in Nazi Zombies, but this is due to technical difficulties. Its gonna be Amazing!

Yes, I have to admit it, I'm a huge Halo fanboy. :P Ever since Halo 1, I've followed the series, loved the games, including the campaign and characters, the whole lot. I loved playing as the Master Chief, and never got bored, although when I found out that in Bungie's upcoming game, Halo 3: ODST, that you could play as best of the best, the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers, I was stoked. I've always admired those guys in halo 2 and 3, and thought their armour looks so damn cool. From the day I heard about it, I was looking everyday for the updates on Bungie.net that would release more info, more screenshots and then finally footage of the game. As soon as I saw In-game videos, I was re-hooked on the drug that is HALO (not a bad thing) hahaha. The SWAT equivalent of the UNSC, the ODST's visually and functionally are just so awesome, the best stealthy and tactical game characters ever developed in my opinion. The game has had some extra developing for the visual aspects side of things since it's predecessor Halo 3, as the artists have had more time to use their game engine to the best of it's ability. Gameplay is essential to a good game, and by the looks of what I've seen, Halo 3: ODST has excellent gameplay and a great replayability value. The game looks superb, a great addition to the Halo series and a must buy for all Halo fans and others looking to get into Halo. Best game of 2009.

Woa! when I found out that you get to play as an ODST I was so excited. This will make the game way more challenging then previous halo games. No shield gets your brain thinking which is what will make this game very popular. And Firefight! The new co-operative game. People say it's just like Horde from Gears of War 2 but Firefight has some unique things in it like the skulls from Halo 3. Every round has at least 1 skull on which changes your strategies just like that. If you liked Halo 3, then your gona love Halo: ODST.

Effective, good looking, new and improved guns. Even more realistic graphics, great new gear.....what more could you want from Halo???? I've watched the trailers, read the reviews, and to me it looks like this game is going down in game history. I can't wait 'til my copy arrives in September. The only thing I'm worried about is this game taking over the world because people will not be able to stop playing it!

Halo: ODST not what i was hoping.

The campaign was average. Some bits were awesome and than other bits were boring.. Didnt quite feel like the originals something was missing… and no it wasnt because master Cheif wasnt in it… Multiplayer is awesome though i would reccomend buying the games for that…

In my opinion i think halo ODST will be a great new step of game playing. With the new firefight mode I think this will be even more addictive not to mention the all new visor system which outlines important things in various colours . I also think the halo series is one of the greatest first person shooter game that you can play co-op without having to access Xbox live which is good to hear they have kept this feature.

The halo games have always had good story lines and halo ODST looks like it is heading to be another great story. Can't wait to play this.

The game running with the old Halo 3 engine with a few minor upgrades, the game seems expensive for what your are getting. Using an outdated engine and throwing in small new features, the game may not seem worth it, only to the die hard Halo fans which there are oh so many of.

use start playing as a “noob” in the “dark” part of the campain after your drop went bad, you have to use your wits to survive, and make your way around the city, finding out what whent wrong with your attack. there are also “light” dlashbacks, with what happend to your squad, a game for people who like mistery, adventure and fun!

When I heard About I thought Yeah! But When I heard you didn't play as master chief I thought What! And I was thinking just another game. A few Trailers later Im Hooked And Now Im Definately Be Geting it Now. And It Definately Looks Worth Buying

Oh my goodness!!!! ODST , the game i have been waiting for along time for!!! This game looks AMAZING I pre-ordered this game in JULY!! I cannot wait to play this game!! If you have all the other Halo games or havent even bought ANY ( which if you have a xbox I doubt you wouldnt have) this game is a MUST buy!!!!

Bungie have made some of the biggest xbox titles to date which is why I hope not to be disapointed by their lasted creation. I'm looking forwad to this game ariving in my mailbox soon. For 90 bucks this game is of excellent value compared to most of the games released now days.
