Go Girls Season 1 reviews

Go Girls has to be the programme of 2009! Hilarious comedy with great Kiwi-isms. Fantastic plot of three girls going for the things they want with many complications along the way. Kevin makes an awesome narrator, saying the funniest things. Would really recommend buying this – although it is only 13 episodes it will have you laughing for ages!

Great Story and an amazing plot. Good way to catch up on the series from the start, (as I began watching the show from the Second Season onwards). Follow the adventures of three girls (Britta, Cody and Amy) plus childhood mate (Kevin) as they are going through the quarter-century crisis.

Go Girls is a New Zealand made production following the ebbs and flows of the lives of 4 close friends in their mid to late 20 somethings, living over the North Shore in Auckland. Disillusioned with their current achievements in their lives, they set themselves a challenge to change their lives and achieve their greatest dreams – all within one year. Do they achieve their goals? Each episode unfolds the twists and turns of opportunity and fate and takes the viewer on a roller coaster of laughter and tears as the Go Girls (who includes one “great kiwi bloke”) struggle through their own hurdles to achieve their aims with the help of their closest friends – who sometimes find their attempts sabotaged unwittingly by each other or their families. This is an excellent and sometimes twisted story line with complicated and funny characters and events with some tragedy thrown in every now drawing the viewer closer and closer into the hearts and dreams of the characters. Some great kiwiana lifestyles and cinematography throughout.

I love this show. It's so addictive and it shows how great NZ tv shows can be. I've gotten the next season already lined up to watch.

Can't wait to see 2nd series

Now Outrageous Fortune is finished it's great to have another series to watch that matches up for quality and NZness. Where it all starts but watch series 2 & 3 too. Can't enjoy them on TV cos channel 10 keeps stuffing around with it, on off, on off. Great show.

When this first came out on tv I was hooked! I knew I would buy this on dvd and Mighty Ape had the best deal on it I could find!

Love it, great kiwi tv series, also ordered the second series and can't wait for season 3 to come out on dvd!

After watching a few episodes I became totally addicted to this show. It's totally engaging and once the series was over I wanted to watch it all over again…so I bought the DVD. Great kiwi drama/comedy – highly reccommended.

Absolutely brilliant series! I could watch this over and over! It's funny, it's sad. You get sucked into their lives like your their best friend.

One of the best NZ TV series in years, well written with a great cast. Very enjoyable to watch, bring on theSeason 2 DVD!
