Great follow up to 1.11. Diverges from the original story but in a good way.
This is a series that defines a genre.
Well worth the watch, diverges from the Evangelion series considerably in this one, can't wait till the next comes out!
Where Evangelion 1.11 stayed true to the original series, 2.22 deviates completely and brings a much more action-pack story with great CGI and scores. Epic is the word! Definitely great rewatch value as well, this is one remake I highly recommend to all!

Brother pointed out that this movie has lots of scenes that weren't in the original series
an epic series gets more epic. this is the movie in which the rebuild of evangelion saga begins to differ from the original tv series, with new characters, angels, and slightly differing story line. where the original series lacked in suspense somewhat, this movie delivers. a must watch for any fan of the original series
