"Adventure gaming at its best!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This package includes the original, and the second installment. The first game runs perfectly on Vista, and so does the second. I recommend playing the first first, then second, otherwise it will not make much sense, as Dreamfall – The Longest Journey has a lot of unanswered endings. I enjoyed playing Dreamfall, some say the commands are awkward, well, there must be something wrong with them, theres nothing wrong, considering this is a port to PC, I find the controlls to be very good, you can do almost everything in-game with one hand! Walk, interact etc. The only downfall, and I am being honest, is the fixed Camera, which annoyed the hell out of me during some parts of the game, but its not as bad as some ports (bringing Devil May Cry 4 to mind). The first, and the second are amazing, it is very interesting when you play the first, and then suddenly end up in Newport in the second installment, it is very intriguing. This is coming from a gaming freak who plays FPS and MMO's, this game is worth getting, especially this special edition, with the soundtrack it is an undeniable ‘to get’ game. I completed the second installment in 3–4 days, so it is a good one to play, compared to, Call of Duty 4, which offered me about 5 hours of gameplay.

"Outstanding setting and story"
4 stars"

The most immersive imaginative and spiritually challenging story, and vivid unique chatacters in any game i have seen. The interface is awkward but the depth of the setting have made it an experience not to be forgotten. there is a free demo try it and see!

"My favourite game so far"
5 stars"

This game is awesome, I really enjoyed playing it and even felt sad at the end because I would miss playing it. This is the first adventure game which I didn't need any help from a walkthrough. The clues all make sense, it's pretty linear and straightforward. But the characters and the music really make it stand out. I ended up ordering two CDs online by Magnet, the guy/band who does the music on this game. The CDs are both outstanding, and I have played countless times, so this game has had an enduring impact on me.

"There are two types of games..."
5 stars"

Games you will probably never finish, and games you finish at four in the morning after an eight hour session. Dreamfall is the latter. Beautiful graphics, an amazing story, an emersive world all overshadow the simplistic puzzles and battle system. A word of advice – towards the end of the game, turn the subtitles off. The story is mostly moved forward through conversation, and becomes much more emersive if you turn off that option.

"Great, but flawed, sequel."
4 stars"

In terms of storytelling, Dreamfall is a worthy successor to the brilliant The Longest Journey. However, the controls are somewhat clunky, which makes the sneaking and fighting aspects of the game a little tedious, (it's an adventure game, so why include fighting anyway?) and it's a little on the short side. Graphics are impressively otherworldly, dialogue is interesting and realistic, the plot is thoroughly intriguing and the few puzzles in the game are neither too easy, nor frustratingly hard. There are also quite a few funny and poignant moments throughout the game.

Having said all that, Dreamfall features the most annoying ending in the history of gaming. There is little if any resolution of important characters and events, and you're left with a feeling of “What?! That's it?!” According to Ragnar Tornquist, the game's author and designer, this was intentional, but it still leaves you feeling a little short-changed. Hopefully the sequel will tie together all the the loose ends and meld an incoherent cliff-hanger into some sort of cohesive whole.

"Scintillating"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I loved it but my boyfriend was not impressed when I preferred the game over him for a couple of nights! The puzzles weren't too hard to crack and as long as you made a thorough look around you weren't tearing you hair out when you got stumped. I never played the original and will have to track it down but as a stand alone game I had a lot of fun even if I did shed a tear at the end.

"Early Christmas Shopper"
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I've done some early Christmas shopping and this is one of the games that I've chosen. I based my choice on the game price and the reviews that have already appeared, so have nothing of my own to add, except that I feel happy and confident with my purchase.

"Excellent Game"

This is a really cool game i have not played it on the pc but on xbox and was glued to it. The game goes through into different era's of time and your character changes people a few times. This all adds the difference the game gives you. It is a very cool adventure game and does not need a lot of skill. I definately recommend this game you wont regret it and will find it hard to put down.
