"Record Two Channels. Watch a Third..."

The S7090 it seems to be designed to be fully operational with all services. The auto LNB search is nice, and it is programmed with more than just 11300 and 10750 so it seems to sort out any drifting LNB issues on some dishes. Good for older generations (and those without the required knowledge). Nothing at all to do to set it up for Freeview… Overall an excellent unit for the general public [:

"Seems to fit the bill."

I am not a tech geek so needed something easy. I had the SatBox installed today. Took me some hours to carefully study the remote, persevere, and play around with it to become totally au fait and get it stored in my mind. But, throw away the manual (not literally of course) – it is next to useless as it lacks sufficient detail to be of much help. I have experimented with all its capabilities and it does everything it is supposed to – logically and simply. Something in the old adage ‘practise makes perfect’. My only gripe would be the ‘instant record’ which brings up a window asking you to basically select ‘how long’ to record for. Would be more logical to just record until you press stop! Non-geek.

I brought this recorder after i moved and had to get a satelite decoder, however there have been nothing but problems with this… you have to turn the power off each day in order to record anything, if you want to change any settings in the menu, you cant even read the options as they are abreviated and you dont know what they mean… this is only the tip of the iceberg. please just buy a Majic TV decoder it will save you hastle and it is so simple and hastle free :)

"Buying a second unit"
4 stars"

Whilst not as user friendly as the sky box I used to have this is pretty good. Lots of storage. (I too had the same issue as ‘Kris’ then realised I had not plugged in a loop connector at the back of the unit, problem solved. Easy instructions, good quality reception – will save us a fortune in sky bills
