VERY good survival horror game. For the first few levels you'll find you can only just kill an enemy, barely scraping by on ammo and health, but after a few hours of gaming you'll get access to some major equipment upgrades, leveling you from a scared little bot to a rambo style killer, although in saying that you aren't invincible, especially when stronger enemies like the Brute come in, a giant Slicer that just won't die.

The game is quite scary to start with, but it gradually moves on to being very tense rather than frightening, although it still has some major scares.

Definately a must buy, one of the best games available on the PS3 & Xbox360.

This game Is amazing, I was a bit weary at first, but this game is a welcome addition to the very small thriller genre. The story is well played out, and the first play through will give you jumps. The graphics are top notch, the gore is so life like, and I like how they sort of based the game from the movie event horizon. I would recommend to anyone who has a PS3.

Recommended by my friend to play so I brought I Dead Space, I must say it is one of the best games I have played in a long time! The story line and the cut scenes are good, weapons are great and the Aliens are amazing. Very spooky in parts, enough to scare the pants off of you. Sound is awesome so play it loud with good surround speakers. If you are wanting a good horror/sci-fi/alien game get Dead Space now!

Yup, this game will have you fudging your huggies in no time. This game has crisp visuals that assault your senses as soon as the game begins.

A good survival horror game is made by sound and DS does well here. As you play, you can here monsters clanging around in vents and steel crashing as the ship you are on falls apart.

The controls are very easy to use, and a function that lights up the correct path ahead of you is great in the maze of corridors you have to travel through.

At the beginning of the game, ammo is scarce which will provide a challenge for more hardcore gamers. You will find yourself cycling through your empty weapons before you resort to pummeling the juice out of the alien in front of you.

The bleakest, darkest, frightening game I have ever played. The main satisfaction I got from finishing it was to say I'd finished it. Every corner makes your skin crawl, every noise makes you jump (especially with surround sound) every dark corridor causes a sinking feeling that leaves you with dread. It is addicting. I found myself pushing forward though I didn't know why. You want to beat it, Like conquering your fears you get the satisfaction when you finish it. 9.2/10

I was so scared, yet I wanted to continue, first off play this game on hard to get the full experience, ive platinumed this game, one of the most fun games ive played, its scary, suspenceful and fun! absolutely nothing wrong with this game, a good 12+ hours for me, 10/10

If you're looking for a great survival horror game then you should definitely give Dead Space a go. It's been years since a good survival horror game has been out and the current generation consoles lacked such a title. Released in 2008, Dead Space instantly became a hit title.

Moments after the game started, it had already sucked me in. I was gripping the controller tightly, my heart was pounding and my hands sweaty. I felt tense throughout the game and also disturbed. I had run into a woman holding the maggot filled corpse of a man while rocking, then I find a man banging his head on the wall while murmuring to himself.

The game's graphics are excellent, textures are detailed and lighting looks amazing and atmospheric. The developers have gone and removed the heads up display that is present in most games. This was a good choice because it allowed the player to become more immersed in the game and not get distracted.

Audio has been done really well, everything sounds as it should be. The monsters sound great and the weapons sound satisfying. I think the sound design is one of the best parts of this game, it seriously had be on edge and tense. If you have a surround sound system, then you're really in for a treat.

Some games have horrible controls but not Dead Space, the game play is excellent and controls are responsive. There was something intensely satisfying as I curb stomped a monsters head and limbs until they fell off.

This game will be a classic and when ever a horror game is brought up, Dead Space is always somewhere in the discussion. This title is also very accessible, it's available for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. After you're done with this title, you'll definitely want to buy the sequel.

The gaming experience is truly Horrific!!! This is one of THE BEST space mutant games to date! I recommend playing this with a friend on multiplayer at first, to get used to the scares with a buddy. Then hit the campaigns! (overall, great game. You will enjoy it. Try it. Be excited. Love it!) 4.6/5!

Maybe I'm just too tough, but it didn't scare me much. Still a VERY entertaining game. Loved it.

Seriously. This game is one of the most intense and scary games out there. I was a huge fan of Resident Evil, then this came out and blew them away. The lack of sound in space and HUD draws you deeper into the game makin it feel less liek a game and more like an interactive horror film. Buy it and play it. You will not regret it. I loved this game soo much it was a bt scary at times but still fun and the shooting in it is so much fun

Dead Space will have your heart racing from start to finish.From dismembering aliens to burning them with a flame thrower.Theres a wide rand of guns which you upgrade as you progress through the game.And with a massive variety of monsters to kill your eyes will be glued to the TV for hours.Stunning graphics ,game play and heart pounding action.P.S keep a fresh pair of undies handy.

This game has got to be in anyones' collection. The best horror/thriller shooter to date. Very impressive visuals and beautifully detailed gore, I have loved this game from the very start.

I rate this game a very solid 5 stars, cannot wait for the sequel :)

Must play survival horror games,

The weapons are some of the most imaginative and totally fun to take apart your enemies which I found great instead of your usual arsenal that you will find in other games.

This game is really tense and plays out like an old si-fi horror movie which is great.

Game play is great your really feel like your on your own and the space atmosphere is fantastic.

this is one of the most awsomest horror games i have played. the horror quikly changes to suspence though, like out of a really good thriller movie as you get quite far in to the game.

this game has a very chilling atmosphere. walking around a huge dark ship with zombies around was scary enough. but walking around with almost no ammo really made this game memerable as you almost have to predict what sort of monsters are going to be in the next room!

dead space has a very intelligent story as you pick up different memo logs of the ships old crew..

just buy it alreay if you like horrors. its a little bit different than a lot of the new games out at the moment :p
