CM Storm Devastator Gaming Bundle reviews

Really happy with my purchase, I would highly recommend this combo to everyone, keyboard and mouse look awesome. Goes well with my black cooler master case and blue LED fans

KEYBOARD The backlight uses the scroll lock key, which is often fine but some programs eg. MS Excel also make use of this key. Also noticed slight bowing in the center but this can be overlooked. The keyboard works fine for most uses and looks cool but there are definitely better options for those with extra spending money.

MOUSE The mouse has some strange dpi options- 800, 1200, 1600. They are fine but don't allow for much personalization which is fine. The buttons have a solid click to them and feel high quality, and the lights look quite cool also- though they don't turn off which can be annoying for those with their computer in their bedroom. Overall, good mouse but again not the best around.

OVERALL This is the best keyboard/mouse bundle I know of- but I would expect no less from CM Storm. I would definitely recommend this bundle for those that just need a keyboard and mouse with no special features or baubles. This was a perfect temporary bundle before I later upgraded to higher end tech.

• i love the keyboard but the back light doesn't work straight out the box for Linux users you have to do a bit of tinkering on your pc but after that its fine and is a great keyboard and it sounds and fells amazing
• the mouse is great felling in my hand and looks great in the dark as does the keyboard but the mouse for me personally is way to sensitive to touch when you click the slightest bit of pressure will make it click and the side buttons are up way to far for me to reach can only reach the first button but overall its a great mouse and I love the dpi button its so handy

When I Un-boxed it and plugged it in it glowed blue, and so did the mouse, the mouse has a blue lazer and the keyboards blue back lighting is great. I'm typing on it right now and it is very comfortable and It has a nice font on the letters, my only downside is that the space bar makes a spring noise but I think I could fix it myself.

Keyboard is solid, with a blue LED backlight and media keys like volume up/down play/pause etc. A button above the arrow keys can turn the backlight on/off.

Mouse got a hard time in some other reviews but it's fine, certainly a bit more square than other mice I've used but button placement is good (for right handers) and it has a great scroll wheel + adjustable dpi botton glows at a different brightness for what setting you are on.

Works fine on my iMac but the backlight does not work because iMacs don't recognize the scroll lock option which is the button to activate the backlight, other than that it works fine.

• The keyboard feels great, it has a rubbery feeling to it. It is a bit louder but sounds great. The back-lighting is very cool, though it is very hard to see the keys, without the light.
• The mouse is very loud when it clicks, and the mouse was a bit too flat for me. The rubber on the side had grip which was good. The dpi button was very helpful.

So, I've had this gaming bundle for about 4 months and already my mouse is broken. I have what we call in the tech world a “broken clicker” – the left mouse clicker.

I would expect more from a CM Storm brand.

I just bought the exact same bundle yet again in support of replacing my CM Storm mouse.

Keyboard does everything you'd expect, no issues, backlight good and the keystrokes whilst not mechanical are better than most. Mouse however is a big let down, unconfortable, inaccurate. Don't expect much from a mouse but its unusable

The mouse is average and feels cheap but is okay for the price and the keyboard I received does not function properly.

this does the job and looks the part at a very attractive price tag to. sadly though the mouse died after 5 months the keyboard lasted way longer but had annoying qwerks to say the least i.e. space bar only worked in the dead center and the other keys didn't move well either. have learnt my lesson and brought expensive gear

It is a very good M&KB combo, for as cheap as 50 bucks it sets you off and hasn't broken on me after 1 yearish of hard play

Got this like 6 months ago to trade out an old Razor keyboard I had been useing , cheap and reliable I recommend this to all.

Mouse worked perfectly , however the keyboard didnt even start 1st time

Its a cool keyboard but you can't hardly see the characters if the backlight is turn off. That is why I gave 4 stars. If I can give it 4.5 I will.

This is a great keyboard, Alot bigger then anticipated it to be. Really happy with what I got will be shopping with MightyApe again in the near future!

It's erganomic, comfortable and flash. The blue light took some getting use to but I love it now.

Favorite part is the music buttons at the top, but they click sort of harshly, hard to explain but pressing them in is not as smooth as the all the other buttons.

Over all I'm very happy.

Just received it and its doing what it was meant for with no issues, just plug and play. Goes very well with my blue led gaming rig :)

Only issue is that when the lights are off its hard to see the letters

Really happy with this bundle. Works very well. A good soft backlight…not too bright…but more than adequate for want you want it for. Will buy another one if/when it's necessary.

Came as a bundle with the Little Monkey – excellent yet cheapish keyboard & mouse. Good quality. Really nice to look at. LEDS make it pure awesome!

Looks great, feels amazing to play with. And great for price

The keys have a nice chunky sound and good spring-back. Has basic AV features like volume up/down and play/pause.

The blue glow effect illuminating the keys/characters is nice, but perhaps a little harsh if used in low-light / dark conditions. It is a difficult keyboard to use if you do a lot of word processing, but nobody needs to look at WASD to use them so that won't affect most buyers.

I find the page back/forward side buttons on the mouse are a bit easy to click accidentally, but the mouse is a good size (not too small) and the glow lighting looks cool… However, it is ALWAYS on when the USB connection is plugged in, even if the PC is off.

The combo of keyboard and mouse is good value for the price I paid, and I would buy it again if I was only spending the same money.

Mouse took a little while to get used to, mainly because my last mouse was quite small. Other than that every t Hing is great!

This has been the perfect starting set for my pc, haven't encountered any problems yet and the blue lights are pretty cool. Very happy.

The keyboard is sooooo good but the mouse is not that great the light stopped working after 2 mins of using and the dpi is to low for gaming

Great keyboard, love the look, bit of a shame you can't change the LED colours and for some reason (this may be my fault though) the mouse LED never turns off when my computer is switched off.

the keyboard is fine and is still in great condition after a year, the mouse however takes 3–4 clicks to register one click. if there is a way to fix this please help me!

I was a little worried when I placed the order for this, given the price gap between this and other flash keyboards. But those fears seem a bit unjustified – it's a sturdy brick of a keyboard, with a fair bit of weight to it, and nice tactile response on the keys. Which glow. So that's cool.

The mouse, again, has been mentioned in other reviews to be a bit more square than most mice – unlike other flash mice, this one both glows, and has the extra mouse buttons in a place where my thumb doesn't naturally rest where I can accidentally click them and skip around pages in the web browser. So again, very neat.

Overall, I would say it's worth the money. Only problem is the fact that there's no dedicated key for the backlight, and you have to push Scroll lock, which isn't really immediately obvious to the less observant user.

This keyboard looks so cool, it looks like the keys are floating because of the backlight, the keys feel nice too like they have a matte coating on them so they arent like the average keyboard, the keys are nice and bulky not flat like a laptop and the mouse is nice and bigish too which fits my hand better than my razer naga, looks and feels really good so glad i bought this

Well got my mouse and keyboard today Once again super fast shipping,The Mouse is great feels good in my hand and looks stylish to matches my little monkey :P, The keyboard also looks great but I find the keys are a little high on the keyboard, It functions well but think if the keys were half as high or even half the thickness it would be an awesome keyboard. All in all great Value for money Highly recommend this product

Amazing for the price

This mouse and keyboard combo is a wonderful deal in terms of value. Aesthetics wise the mouse and keyboard looks great and feels nice. The tactile feedback of the keyboard is really good along with its pleasant looking backlit. The mouse clicks are pretty good although not as satisfying compared to more expensive mouse and also you will start to notice the wear on the left click after a few days of use when you compare it to the click noise the right button does. Also one of the more significant flaws is the scroll wheel which will occasionally scroll up when you are scrolling down which can get really annoying. Also the other thing is that you have to turn on the keyboard back light everytime you turn on the computer along with the fact the scroll lock button controls the backlight on and off. This means that if you use the scroll lock button for certain programs then you will have to toggle the backlight at the same time. Otherwise if you don't think these will be of major annoyance to you then this is a really good combo to buy.

This is a good combo but! for some reason my mouse when I scroll doesnt work proprly. If I scroll down it will randomly scroll up a little bit we it scrolls down any help would be much appreciated

But the only thing I find frustrating with this is it does not have a dedicated LED backlight key – you have to use scroll lock which has that as an added function – rather annoying if you bought this for work use and Scroll Lock is a huge pain – like the worst key EVER!!! – Apart from that its a great deal. I have not experienced issues with the mouse like others have.

The mouse has a wicked feel compared to my logitech one. And the keyboard is just as good, good feel, sound and the backlight looks sick in the dark.

I purchased this as a cheap alternative to a gaming keyboard and mouse as they were way out of my price range. First impressions were great, nice lines, nice feel. For the first month, it was a good package.

Then it all started going downhill. At first the spacebar on the keyboard and scroll wheel on the mouse started squeaking. Which upon doing some research seems to be a ridiculously common problem. I put up with it for a bit, to see if it fixed, and it hasn't. Spoke to Mightyape, and they were prepared to take it back for replacement or refund, but that would have left me without a keyboard and mouse, and I would've had to of bought another combo anyway. So I dealt with it.

Then the mouse stopped working. Dead. It still gets power, and lights up, but will not do anything. I tried different USB ports to test, no difference. There are no drivers for this mouse, so that was out of the question.

I've since purchased a cheap Logitech mouse as a replacement, but I am now looking into spending a bit more on a decent gaming option, and then in the future a better keyboard also.

If the problems hadn't occured, this would get a 5 star. Overall feel was good, mouse WAS nice to use, especially with being able to adjust the DPI with a simple button press, and keyboard is responsive.

I guess you pay for what you get.

Nice key board but the mouse is good but seemingly cant click as fast and a bit to sensitive overall good bang for youre buck
