"Short and Sweet"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This game is for the explorer. It builds on the story of the last two assassins creed games but the story mode does seem very short compared to the second and without all the side missions would not be overly thrilling. However it has improved greatly in the world of side missions with three entire sub plots in the game and combined with a vastly improved combat control this game is still one of the best 2010 releases. Online play backs this up and is intuitive and very well done, with those who are the best at stealth generally being the winning players. Recommended for anyone who enjoys close combat and story games.

"Awesome, fun filled game."

This is a really great game! The story is very long if you do lots of side missions. The multiplayer is great, but has a couple annoying bugs. I would highly recommend this.

"Awesome game but"

This game is really cool but it isnt much different from assassins creed 2. But then again assassins creed 2 was awesome and this a a bit better. Awesome characters, graphic mechanics. Great game

"More Assassins Creed 2, for better or for worse."
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

In terms of purchase decisions this is a no-brainer; if you haven't played Assassins Creed 2, play that first. If you didn't like it you won't like this. If you did, it's more of the same with a few new shiny bits and side-missions things like that.

The multiplayer isn't perfect but it is certainly something fresh. Finding a game can be tough but it's all worth it when you get good players; the system really shines.

"Its pretty cool."

Not as good story line as the first 2 but has better combat and a better climbing system. bit of a let down with the recruit system and how they are trained etc, but still a very good game!

The third installment of the Assassin Creed franchise. Definitely does not fail to exceed expectation. Online play is fantastic and has the campaign to go with it

"Straight out a great game"

A great game quite a bit harder than Assassin's Creed 2 & a little bit shorter but with some great extras plenty to explore & they have improved the battle system quite a bit & I love the storyline to these games well worth buying

"amazing, really improved on the second game!"
5 stars"

truly addictive game, the story was of average length, but once you have added in the side missions and side stories, it provided hours of endless fun. the fighting style has really improved from the second game, not repetitive, very quick, very cool. online is a great concept and unlike anything i've played online before. i challenge anyone to try this game and not love it!

"A solid addition to the franchise"
4 stars"

Assassin's Creed II at it's time of release was one of my favourite games and ‘Brotherhood’ builds on that good work offering players a delightfully lived-in and detailed environments, new innovations in gameplay and a solid storyline.

There's a good 30+ hours of enjoyment for gamers, both those who are new and familiar to the franchise. There are some great side-quests and the addition of new weapons, fight tweaks and the ability to hire assassins is welcome advancement. Lastly, the multiplayer mode is excellent and adds a lot of re-playability which might otherwise be lost

However, while Assassin's Creed II shook up the franchise there is not much to distinguish this title from it. Brotherhood doesn't advance the storyline very far and many missions will feel familiar- if not repetitious to fans of the series. Meanwhile, the game mechanics don't really offer a great deal of new challenges to gamers.

Thus, while this game is excellent, it falls short of the 5 stars its predecessor would have garnered.

"If you've played the franchise, its like putting on an old hat"

The continuation of the series delivers another challenging episode.

Having ended on a cliffhanger, I'd recommend any fan pick it up. Same storyline and challenges galore.

"the beginning of the end"

this is the second and the last chapter of the story of Ezio Auditore da firenze and the still continuing one of Desmond Miles. if you enjoyed assassins creed 2 as much as everyone else did then you will love this game. with added features to the game it makes a bonus game-play experience. and takes the assassins creed franchise to a new and legendary level

"''must have one''"

Assassin's Creed II is definitely one of my favourite games of the last 12 months. It was a meaty gaming meal that took several steps towards fulfilling the promise of the original, with new mechanics, more variety in gameplay, and an alluring new setting: renaissance Italy. It was a big leap, in other words: a worthy sequel in all regards.

Brotherhood, on the other hand, will have a slightly harder time proving its worth. Rather than moving to a new time period, it continues directly on from the events of Assassin's Creed II, only with the action shifting almost entirely to Rome. Like previous titles, there's also a modern-day component. The game is once again framed by the on-going battle between the Templars and Assassins, and players are actually assuming the role of Desmond, who lives in the present day and is able to experience the memories of his ancestor Ezio using a device called the animus. The game cuts between the two time periods but the bulk of the gameplay occurs in renaissance Rome

The game is more a continuation of the second game than a new game all together. The graphics are as good as the second game and as usual the story is captivating and engaging. There are some exciting new additions such as renovating shops and recruiting and training assassins which add to the gaming experience. Finally an online multiplayer has been added which is also very good.

"More of the same good stuff"

When I finished playing Assassins Creed 2 I couldn't wait for more, And I am not disappointed in the continuation of Ezio and Desmond's story in Brotherhood. The new games additions are well thought out and compliment the gameplay brought forth from AC2. And although theres nothing groundbreaking it has the feel of a well polished game. The crowning glory of this game is the multi-player. It is smooth and almost as engrossing as the story mode. If you're new to the series I recommend starting on Assassins Creed 2 as the gameplay is much the same and without playing AC2, the story in AC:B won't make much sense.

"Pretty sweet game just like number 2"

It is a add on to number 2 but you spent more time outside as desmond, havent found anything new to the game, but havent finished yt.

"A++"

Great game well worth getting. Ubisoft have fixed what I thought were the big pitfalls of AC2 such as the ‘sit and wait’ combat and you can replay individual memories, something that they removed from AC2. It's a must have.

The game play and graphics are pretty much the same as Assassin's 2. Okay story line.

Hopefully Assassin's 3 is better.
