To me this is the best of the series of underworld. Rhona Mitra and Micheal sheen have great chemistry together in this movie. The special effects are fantastic. The plot and story line is better and the appearance of NZ actors make this movie a favorite to watch over and over again. Who needs Kate Beckinsale when you have Rhona Mitra who can act!

Arty Ho Hum vampire / werewolf movie.
Plot could have been written on the back of match box.
That said its dark and brooding with good visuals. If you’re in to Vampire movies this is okay but avoid if you are after a scare.
Ditching series star Kate Beckinsale and introducing the first ever Lara Croft model Rhona Mitra this movie is a prequel. As a sort of origin story to the events on the first movie it does a good job but as a standalone action/horror flick it is just decent without being amazing. Still- this is far better than the last movie released- Awakening. Shot in New Zealand too so you get a few familiar local faces cropping up.
