I am currently on my second pair of these and about to send them back, because the first pair never went in the first place (Probably just a dead pair) and the pair that I have now are about to get send back because the plastic on the ear cup has crack after only two months.

If you do choose to buy these they do have great sound, the inline amplifier is good and the 7.1 surround sound is great for games.

However I would recommend the razer kraken 7.1 over these though. For 20 dollars more you get much better build quality and the synapse software does a really good job with a built in equalizer, mixer and choosing 2.0 and 7.1 for eachindividual program that's running. But take into consideration that there is no inline amplifier and smaller drivers (Turtle Beach 60mm and Razer Kraken 50mm) but other then those the razer krakens are better in every way really.

I enjoyed the sound quality, comfort and weight. There is a problem though. After about a year it started to drop the sound and a loud high pitch noise was all I could hear. That is the main reason I decided to write this. It works, it's worth the coin but don't plan on having it forever.

Perfect if you're looking for a surround sound headset for gaming, but also want to be able to listen to music on the go, without having to spend a huge amount or buy a second set of headphones. The microphone detaches easily, and the simple plug-and-play operation is great.

There are only 2 small issues I found. The first is that several games require a restart after the headset is plugged in before you get any sound. The other is that when detached from the usb for mobile use, the cable is a little bit short. I'm a tall guy so I had to get used to carrying my phone in the other pocket to prevent it being pulled out when I walk.

Sound is great, and the switchable modes (on usb) actually work quite well when going between games, movies, and music.

The cable is a little bit thicker than most, which hopefully will mean it won't be as prone to breakage, but also is a little stiff and can be mildly irritating if you're moving around.

Very happy with the set so far, and a great price for how much it can do. Yet to see how it will last over time.
