The Silver Gymnasium is Okkervils River's new studio album, following their acclaimed records The Stage Names and The Stand Ins. The songs of The Silver Gymnasium are centred on the isolated hamlet of Meriden, NH; the childhood home of bandleader Will Sheff. This is Okkervil River’s most autobiographical record yet, as Sheff recounts adolescent struggles and sleepy small town life.
