Description

The Escapist
5 Men. 4 Walls. 1 Plan…

Frank Perry (Brian Cox) is a lifer; in prison for the rest of his natural born days. He's never had a problem with the cards fate dealt him: he did the crime; he'll do the time; Until now.

Receiving a letter for the first time in years from his only and much loved daughter, Frank learns his little girl is critically ill following an overdose. Frank knows that he must see her, but to do that he'll have to escape. And he knows he can't do it alone.

From within the hard walls of the prison Frank assembles a motley crew of younger associates, Lenny Drake (Joseph Fiennes), Brodie (Liam Cunningham), and Viv Baptista (Seu Jorge) to enact his bold plan. As the crew begin preparations for the break out, Frank is distracted by the arrival of a young con James Lacey (Dominic Cooper) who reminds the old-timer of days long lost.

However as the new kid on the block, Lacey also attracts the sadistic attention of Tony (Steven Macintosh), the drug addict brother of wing king Rizza (Damian Lewis). With personality conflicts escalating and threatening to put the escape in jeopardy, Frank is forced to find the energy and courage of the man he once was to achieve the near impossible.

The Man Inside
Clayton Murdoch (Ashley Thomas) carries a terrible darkness inside him. As a boy he was exposed, by his father (David Harewood), to murder and gang culture. With his father now in prison, Clayton struggles to overcome what he was groomed to become – in a city where every day there is a constant threat of violence and death.

Clayton channels his aggression into boxing, however when the violence starts to destroy his own family, Clayton loses control and the darkness within him is unleashed. Now, to get the revenge against those whohave taken his loved ones, he must ask the one man he fears the most for help – his father. With everything around him falling apart and the full shocking fury in him let loose, Clayton must look death in the face and find out who is the man inside.
