Over a career now entering its fifth decade, Tony Joe White has established himself as the king of swampy, blues-drenched soul.
He has scored major hits of his own, and seen some immortal artists turn his compositions into signature songs - from Elvis Presley’s version of “Polk Salad Annie” to Ray Charles’ take on “Rainy Night In Georgia.”
