At first I was very skeptical over the cast, not being too much of a Pitt lover and not knowing much about Casey Affleck (being the two main characters and all). All of my doubts were pushed aside within a few minutes. The story telling of the movie was truly beautiful and easy to follow, the acting was superb, the scenery, characters and of course the History behind them.

I didn't know much about it so from an unfamiliar person to the story, it was amazing. One of my favourite movies to date and definitely something I enjoy to re-watch, picking up on different things each time.

Together with Fincher's Zodi­ac,sadly Andrew Dominik's The Assassination of Jesse James is one of the most criminally underrated films of 2007. Pitt's per­formance is a triumph, complemented by an equally amazing supporting cast including Casey Affleck, Sam Rockwell and Jeremy Renner. Nick Cave's score superb and is paired with the cool blues and saturated golds of many a picturesque landscape. If you are looking for a true cinematic treat, this is the film for you.
