Razer Orochi reviews

I wanted to replace my dead logitech bluetooth mouse and found this sleek looking thing on mightyape. This is my second week using it and surprisingly, the battery is still going strong! I use it with my MBP for long hours everyday doing graphic design work. So far, I have had no connection problems. Once the mouse has been connected to my laptop, it will automatically re-establish this connection whenever the laptop is switched on. Wakes up immediately as well when I've left it idling for a long time.

The size of this mouse is also just right in my opinion. I would say I have big palms, but have never felt any discomfort so far using it for long hours. Easy to use, quick and accurate response, great battery life and looks amazing! Tho the only minor issue I have with it is its chrome cover, which as expected, gets easily smudged with fingerprints that's visible when you look at it side on. So either clean it often or don't look at it too closely!

I have not tried connecting the mouse to my laptop with the cable that came with it. There was this one testimonial at another website warning people against it – saying that once he did that, and modified the buttons on the mouse, the mouse keeps disconnecting from his laptop. I'm quite happy with my Orochi at the moment and would like to keep it that way without risking the heart break…

Compared to my last bluetooth mouse, this mouse performs a lot better and looks way cooler! I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a mouse.

Has improved my gaming heaps works a lot faster and is much more precise when playing FPS games and can now mow down the enemy and not get a sore hand after hours of gaming!

This product is truly amazing definetley one of the best i have seen in a long long time. Your are sure not to be dissapointed with this product. I Have heard of otherpeople aswell who have just raved about it definetley a thumbs up from me.

Caveat: first mouse I received was faulty, but Razor replaced it right away without a problem.

The tradgedy with this mouse is that it just doesn't work very well in Bluetooth mode. It skips a lot, with the mouse cursor teleporting – I beleive this is related to Razor's agressive power saving, where if you don't move the mouse for a nanosecond it will try and conserve power.

Precision is good, and comfort and looks are great. However, as far as functional mice go – it's just not that amazing. I've gone back to my plain Jane Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 – whilst not quite as nice a looking mouse, it's far better as an actual mouse!
