There are some reviews for this product made by people who are doing one or more of the following: Trying to fool you into buying this game. Do not know how to properly judge the quality of a game. Enjoy poor quality games. Like The Walking Dead too much.

Do not purchase unless you have a lot of disposable income.

I would recommend watching the “WTF is…” video on this game done by TotalBiscuit on YouTube if you want a good assessment of the PC version which should be the higher quality version as the PS3/Xbox 360 are extremely old now.

This game has poor gameplay, poor voice acting, poor level design and poor graphics.

Gameplay: There is no excuse for the combat, it is dull and has no interesting mechanics at all. Consists almost entirely of clicking to constantly stagger the zombie so it never has a chance to attack, and if you get overwhelmed you are given a sort of quick-time event where the zombies will one by one grab you and give you the opportunity to one shot them while being invincible to damage the whole time. You can perform a stealth kill, but the linear + poor level design prevents the stealth aspect from being interesting at all. The only good game mechanics seem to be when you deal with your party members between levels and the random events as you travel from level to level, however these are good ideas but poorly executed.

Level Design: Linear and scripted, and not the good kind of scripted. If you enjoy actual survival games then you will be disappointed. There is very little to explore and discover.

Those are the two major points I wanted to bring up, if you're that desperate and can afford paying over $40 for a game that should be closer to $5 ( if not outlawed ) then go ahead.

Once again I would just like to say that this game's quality is below that of a lot of indie games, and for the same price you could buy several higher quality products.

I would offer you an alternate plan: Since you are already here on Mighty Ape and potentially wanting to make a purchase of The Walking Dead variety. Why not purchase the series on DVD or Blu-ray instead. Mighty Mart offers competitive prices on chips and soda too so you're all set up for a movie night of sorts.

Just don't buy this game unless you are desperate.

Final Note: Look for gameplay videos on YouTube when you are thinking about making a purchase. You can see what you're getting before spending your money on a product.

Purchased on Mighty Ape

i recommend this game if your a big fan of the walking dead tv series its allmost like controlling the characters in the show but at the start of the game i recommend you don't walk into any corridors or you might just find your self over run buy a heard of zombies unless you can quickly find a ladder to climb on to the roof tops lol

"Fairly Decent"

Although this game was made out to be bad by some reviewers, the game itself is actually pretty good. The graphics aren't an issue. The only frustrating thing I came across was zombies spawning behind you. Other than that not much wrong

Description

The Walking Dead brings the authentic, heart-stopping horrors of The Walking Dead to life in a way that's unlike anything the series has ever seen. Terminal Reality's upcoming video game is an all-new, first-person, do-whatever-you-need-to-survive game based on AMC's Emmy award-winning series. In the game, players assume the role of the mysterious, crossbow-wielding survivor Daryl Dixon, alongside his overbearing brother Merle, on a haunting, unforgiving quest to make their way to the supposed safety of Atlanta.

Features:

  • An engrossing single player campaign that lets players experience the world of The Walking Dead through the eyes of fan-favorite, Daryl Dixon.
  • A unique style of gameplay that blends first-person action with resource management for a focus on surviving the undead nightmare.
  • Authentic character design and frighteningly realistic animations. Walkers look, move and react to sights, sounds and smells just the way that they do in the hit television show.
  • An emphasis on survival – every threat needs to be assessed and every situation analyzed. Players will choose whether to stay and fight while risking a gruesome death or using stealth to avoid the undead. Resources are scarce and scattered; gamers will have to not only ration supplies, but carefully consider their food, medical needs, ammunition, and other goods as survival in the game is based upon wit and intellect more so than simple, sheer skill.
  • Decisions matter as Daryl will encounter a slew of characters that can help or hurt him in a variety of ways; whether or not they accompany him is completely up to the player and represents just some of the major decisions that will constantly be made.
  • Terminal Reality's using their proprietary Infernal Engine and wealth of experience to create an amazing experience for both fans and newcomers alike.
