In a gaming world full of console shooters ported to PC, we finally get another game designed with PC gamers in mind. The Frostbite 2 engine which Epic has developed is fully optimised for PC meaning that your computer doesn't need to be top of the line to play it. 64 player max with massive maps is going to make this game an experience! Don't buy for console because consoles don't have the hardware to cope (consoles are being limited to 30fps, 24 player max, smaller maps, and less realistic effects such as lighting and smoke).
Battlefield 3 offers more than any previous Battlefield title. 64 player multiplayer, the largest maps of any Battlefield game, the return of jet fighters and a phenomenal graphics and sound engine.

This should be interesting. They seem to be pushing the engine in every possible direction, not just by covering everything in 7 different texture maps and flooding your viewscreen with bloom.
