One of the most recognisable and popular works in the choral repertoire, Carmina Burana is full of infectious tunes and colourful orchestration. The opening ‘O Fortuna’ is familiar to many from its use in numerous TV programmes, adverts and films.

British tenor Andrew Kennedy is very much part of the LPO family. Past engagements with the Orchestra have included Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Berlioz’s Grande Messe des Morts, Mozart’s Requiem and Haydn’s The Seven Last Words of Our Saviour On the Cross, the latter released on CD on the LPO Label (LPO0051).
Bass-baritone Rodion Pogossov is in great demand on the concert stage, as well as appearing regularly in operas at the Metropolitan Opera in New York and the Hamburgische Staatsoper in Germany. In 2014 he makes his debut at Los Angeles Opera as Papageno in The Magic Flute.
