The screens being larger make such a difference and they are so bright. Makes the games so much easier to see. The cameras are pretty good too. I use an SD card and have nearly 3000 pictures still to take. Wow. I have games such as crosswords, Brain games etc. they are really good for us Olds. So I will continue playing happily and will recomend the XL to anyone who will listen.

My Son has a DSi, and we both really enjoy playing it, but the DSi Xl is so much cooler! The main attraction of the DSi XL is OBVIOUSLY the two HUGE screens. The games look exactly the same as they do on the original DS except they're all enlarged to accommodate the bigger screens, but they're still sharp and bright. This console has an added bonus of 3 Built-in Games, plus it features Internet Browser, 3 Cameras, Music Player, DSi Shop (This is probably the future of gaming where everything is digital downloads – like the PSP Go offers) The DSi XL is a quality sturdy build with a new Pen design stylus (Much more comfortable to use for larger hands and prolonged periods of time) I recommend this console to ALL! This is $369.99 well spent.

The bigger screen makes a huge difference. I purchased a DSI for my daughter last year and she is now upset that her brother just got the XL for his birthday. It's totally worth the extra cost.
