MotoGP 14 is the latest title from Milestone with a new and refined graphics and sound engine to feature all 3 tiers of MotoGP motorbikes! As well as selecting from the contemporary riders, you can also relive historical moments and re-write history while playing as legends from the past in 2 new modes – Real Event and Challenge the Champions composing of 34 challenges which involve overtaking and winning races in a set number of laps.

For newcomers to the series, this is the most user-friendly title but offers a reasonable challenge for inexperienced players or those used to car racing games. Championships comprise of 18 races and 3 test sessions throughout them spanning a multitude of real-life global tracks. As players begin their MotoGP careers as rookies in Moto3 (the third tier), they gain experience points from their final positions after each race and can level up therefore unlocking riders, pictures and videos with each level that they can use or view from the menu.

Overall, this game has a great physics engine and players really get a feel for the weather conditions and modifications to the bike such as gear ratios. MotoGP and SBK games tend to be quite difficult but this title is easily the most user-friendly and really allows players to enjoy the thrill of MotoGP. The online component boasts many different modes such as championship, grand prix, sprint season and split times with up to 12 players able to play in one game. You can even play offline split screen! Fans of the series will love this and newcomers should enjoy it too. The PS4 finally has a solid racing simulator! 9/10
