We got this to play as a family and its just as fun as normal “monopoly”. But I have to say the money and the hotels are a bit confusing to start, but you get used to it's still fun to play:)

Bought this to play as a family, and the kids (7&8) love it! The money is still being doled out by an adult, as it's dealing in millions rather than hundreds, but the kids are fast getting the idea. Only problem with the game is there aren't enough apartments (houses) to go round. Love the pictures on the board and property cards, that show places around NZ not yet seen (or no longer able to be seen).
LOVE the New Zealand version! Great to have my son playing a kiwi one and not the old Pom one that had ZERO relevance to us.....
New Zealand has changed over the last few decades. This special anniversary edition celebrates 21 years of NZ's favourite board game with a modern-day equivalent that was voted and chosen by New Zealanders. Choose from a range of new tokens including a mobile phone, jandals, sheep or even a jar of Vegemite! Rents have sky rocketed all over the country, and you can build property in places like the Waitomo Caves, Cathedral Square or next to the Ohakune Carrot. Play to win New Zealand – in millions of dollars, not just hundreds.
