"I love this mouse!"

Purchased on Mighty Ape

I love this mouse, it looks like some people have had a hard time with it, but mine worked very well. Pluged in the USB, my Windows 7 did its thing to install it. Then it worked… I love it,

"Horrible 2" Purchased on Mighty Ape

I have had the exact same experience as Bill. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a mouse.

I have returned one thinking it may have been an issue with the particular mouse but the replacement still is not functional as a mouse. Just writing this review I have had to use the keyboard for navigation and selecting text because it easier and quicker than using this mouse.

It does not operate well enough as a mouse to warrant any fee.

This must be the worst mousing experience I've ever had. I installed the mouse on Windows 7 64-bit and performance was so bad, I thought it must be because I needed to download the mouse software from MS (no disk is included in the pack). Having installed the Mouse and Keyboard Center software, the computer now knows about the mouse and how to set up its model-specific features, but the mouse itself is still far below par.

Intermittently, the mouse becomes very unresponsive, as if it's polling only once every couple of seconds. This causes the cursor to dart everywhere but where you want it. This problem is repeatable between my laptop and desktop computer.

The hepatic feed-back on the scrolling strip just feels wrong, but fortunately you can turn it off.

The touch strip itself is just not as responsive as even the most budget mouse. My MS Basic optical mouse far outperforms this device.

Even on sale at $29, this mouse is just not worth the money.

Description

REVIEWS
“The mouse is small but comfortable to use and we liked the compact wireless receiver, which clips into the underside of the mouse. If you want a small and elegant pointing device, particularly for use with a laptop, the Explorer Touch is…accurate and comfortable.” 4/5 expertreviews.co.uk

“So maybe the actual touch portion of these two mice wasn’t as amazing as I had hoped. But as far as your standard mice are concerned, these two have ‘em beat. When it comes to the every day, basic uses of a mouse, both the Microsoft Touch Mouse and The Explorer are excellent choices..I really meant it when I said they could perform on any surface. Trust me, I tried as many as I could find.” techcrunch.com

“..The touch scrolling is very cool.. as is the side-to-side scrolling capabilities, and the 18-month battery promise is impressive.” 4/5 about.com

“…The Explorer Touch Mouse offers up unique touch-based scrolling with haptic feedback for a respectable price” PC Mag 3.5/5
