"Prologue that more than prepares you for V."
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Every MGS game since MGS2 has had a prologue, they all last 2 hours-ish. For the main story mission, this is no different. But combine the extra ops, unlockables and hidden things, you'll get 15+ easily.

Great gameplay. There are SO many different ways to complete the tasks. I stealthed on foot, mostly on roof tops without being spotted while my friend hitched a ride on a truck thrn stole said truck to escape back. Truly innovative stealth gameplay and ridiculously satisfying.

"Insulting."

This slap dash excuse for a game is an insult to Metal Gear fans. It is nothing more than an attempt to milk money out of the fan base. I purposely took my time on the campaign mission as i was aware it was incredibly short. But even messing around i finished it in 45mins. On the positive side though, visually it's incredible. The side missions were where i was hoping to get my moneys worth. But there is no originality in them, they all take part in the exact same area as the mission, and are simplistic “kill this guy” or “save this guy” missions. If you're going to charge full price for a game that is the same length as a demo atleast put some effort into it. I strongly recommend not buying this, it's barely worth $10 yet alone $70.

"It's Kojima; say no more."

More of a teaser of what to expect in MGSV. You definitely need to adjust your expectations as far as length goes. This is a short prologue to the next instalment. There are extra ops which definitely deserve recognition, these aren't just token objective completing quests; Kojima & Co are constantly thinking about player experience with Ground Zeroes' game play and they do deliver in a big way. Other observations: it looks staggeringly beautiful; Kiefer Sutherland's addition can be jarring as it's hard to shake the image of Jack Bauer playing Big Boss, but objectively he is perfect in the role. You'll enjoy this game a hell of a lot if you're all about Metal Gear Solid.

"A good intro to the next installment" Purchased on Mighty Ape

A great intro as said above. The game play is very familiar. It is still a shame that the game is so short, but with the side missions and different approaches to complete the main game it is still great fun.

I used this as a refresher to the world of Metal Gear and wasn't disappointed, I cant wait for the next instalment this year.
