1965 was a year in which America broke completely from the strictures of the previous decade, and creator Matthew Weiner's team do a tremendous job of blending this cultural context with Don Draper increasingly fractured personal life. It's a testament to the strength of the performances and writing that they manage the shift from the fallout of Draper's divorce to n ending that offers both a sense of hope and anxiety for Draper and his cohorts
