LEGO Lord of the Rings (PS3 Essentials) reviews

Where to start-! This game is outragously awesome! If youre a fan of the LOTR Movies this game will have you hooked from begginning to end. The accuracy blew me away, from the voices to dialogue through to the cut scenes and missions. Id have to say, the best lego game, no wait THE BEST game I have played. My partner and I played through the story in Co-Op (the only real way to play these games) and at the end had only completed 25% of the game. There are so many exciting side games, puzzles and middle earth mayhem to do its uncanny. Just when youve had enough fun for a day you buy a new character and spend the next week bashing your way through middle earth with him as well, and theres 120 unlockable characters! Nothing, and I mean nothing about this game got boring! Loved it, whether youre 40 or 5 this game is for you! Amazing. The Best!

We have most of the lego playstation games and this one was fantastic. Both kids could play without being “tied” to the other (i.e. Less fighting) and the levels could each be played time and time again finding new and improved stuff. We clocked it, but took ages.

Not sure why this is called one of the best Lego games. The free-roaming is tedious but the main story is fun enough…but believe it or not I had much more fun with the PS Vita version…THE VITA VERSION!

I absolutely love lego LOTR, I already owned a copy and got this one for my little brother who absolutely loves it to!

I love this game, I have spent many an hour playing it and I only opened it on Christmas day, was supposed to be for me and my man to play, he has bearly got a look in at it lol, love it

This game is beautiful. Personally my favourite part was just roaming Middle-Earth(especially the Shire) looking for hidden things. It takes a LONG time to complete and it's very addictive! The unlockable players/items keep the game interesting as you need to go back through the levels to undiscovered areas in order to retrieve them. It was a perfect way to relive The Lord of the Rings. A definite must-have!

Torn with my opinions of this game – on one part it fits the mould of the other LEGO games but this one seems more formal than prevoius LEGO games. Maybe the voice acting in the cut scenes has created this illusion. Very fun and if you are in to LOTR then the combination of the two will see you enjoying the game. Anyone who hasn't played a LEGO game and is considering this one should go forth and buy it. Let it become your PRECIOUS!

I was a little unsure picking this one up since it would be the first Lego game that I have played that involved voice acting. I thought it might take away from the humour of the earlier games. I was wrong and I have really enjoyed this game and how the adventure is set up

Although I am a LOTR fan, this game was a stretch for me because I had never played a LEGO game before. Now I can't get enough. This is a fantastic game for all ages. It is fun and with that added LEGO charm you get something that everyone can enjoy. Even grown adults will not be able to hold back a chuckle.
