Keep Lookin includes a previously unissued Planet Records gem by The Tribe and many tracks are new to CD, including nuggets from The Heavyweights, Soul Purpose. Keep Lookin is compiled and annotated by Paul Weller biographer and long-time Mod observer John Reed and designed by Andy Morten (Shindig magazine, Rev-Ola).
Many of the rarities here are drawn from cult British labels such as Planet, President, Spark. Some of the artists, such as Arthur Brown, went on to enjoy huge success. The Valentines, for example, were fronted by a pre-AC/DC Bon Scott!
The box set also boasts rare 60s gems from Australia, New Zealand and Canada, many sourced from the original masters for the first time. Keep Lookin will be promoted by a major Facebook campaign, with reviews in all major music-based publications and websites. Interest in all things Mod continues unabated this year is the 50th anniversary of the year in which Mod broke big, 1964, which has prompted several tie-in events &Â books.
