Description

Pop Star. Outlaw. Revolutionary Hero.

Along with Bob Marley and Peter Tosh, Jimmy Cliff was one of the driving forces behind the explosive emergence of reggae music in the 1970s. By the age of 20 Cliff scored a #6 UK pop chart hit with “Wonderful World, Beautiful People” and soon starred in the Harder they Come, the legendary ‘rebelreggae’ film for which he also wrote the hit soundtrack.

Filmed in 1996, this rare documentary captures Cliff in the streets of Jamaica where his musical odyssey began. Discussing his musical vision, his embrace of Islam and traditional African culture, Cliff also performs a selection of his immortal songs
including The Harder They Come, Crime, Many Rivers to Cross, Bob You Did Your Job, and You Can Get It If You Really Want.
