“Hell on Wheels” gradually pulls you into the series set in America after the Civil War in a Railroad-building camp town. It shows the rough and ready life style complete with a Saloon, whores, mud, and plenty of violence. The relationships between the railroad men, Native Americans, recently emancipated Negroes, and soldiers from the North and South, are also explored. There's an archetypal, gun-slinging hero too, and the odd love interest.
Great follows on nicely from series one. Be looking for series three soon.
