Hell Baby is a 2013 American independent horror-comedy film written and directed by Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon.
Jack (Rob Corddry) and Vanessa (Leslie Bibb) are an expectant couple who move into the most haunted fixer-upper in New Orleans – a house with a deadly demonic curse. Things soon spiral out of control for Jack and Vanessa as well as their-not-so-helpful neighbour F’Resnel (Keegan-Michael Key); Vanessa’s friendly psychiatrist (Michael Ian Black); Vanessa’s Wiccan sister, Marjorie (Riki Lindhome); and the detectives assigned to look into the rising body count (Rob Huebel and Paul Scheer). Only the Vatican’s elite exorcism team (co writers / directors Garant and Lennon) can save them – or can they?
Hell Baby Movie Reviews
“Its modest (if occasionally gross-out) stabs at genre parody rarely insult our intelligence and even allow for the kind of retro deadpan silliness Mel Brooks used to underline his louder punch lines.” Los Angeles times
“It’s modest, scrappy, and resourceful, a low-budget comedy that makes the most of a central setting and a cast packed with gifted improvisers.” The Dissolve
“This is just about the one-billionth movie to lampoon the horror genre, but so what? It's hilarious.” amNewYork
