“Head Up High” is the eighth studio album from British trip hop trio Morcheeba. The album reflects a series of significant changes in the trio’s lives while marking the success of the bands career spanning eighteen years since the release of their debut album, ‘Who Can You Trust’, an acclaimed trip-hop blueprint and the root of Morcheeba’s universal success and appeal having sold millions of albums worldwide.
The album has Morcheeba sounding more up-tempo and adventurous than ever before, with influences ranging from traditional South American music to dancehall and dubstep. Featuring guest artists Chali 2Na from Jurassic 5, Rizzle Kicks and James Petralli, frontman of White Denim, and fiery Spanish rapper Ana Tijoux, who Paul Godfrey discovered on an episode of Breaking Bad.
Morcheeba are heading to NZ for two shows in 2014, Thursday April 10 at The Powerstation, Auckland and Friday April 11 at The Opera House – Wellington.
