I found Family Tree Maker 2012 simple to load and easy to use. I was able to import all my databases from a previous version without difficulty. This new version has quite a number of more useful functions. The annoying issue to beware of is to carefully read all the tick boxes otherwise you can commit to sharing your records with the manufacturer and other internet users – in an age of identity theft I found this to be the downside of the software. Apart from that I have been able to significantly improve my family genealogy records.
