In reading this review, please keep in mind that I'm not an avid RPG player. My main exposure to RPGs is getting mid-way through Oblivion, though I am a HUGE fan of the Demon's/Dark Souls series.
Trailers and the like, even the demo for this game, looked very promising to me. However, after purchasing and playing for a few hours, I decided this wasn't the game for me.
Annoying dialogue, choppy graphics, and an incredibly slow-moving story (in the early moments, at least) led me to sell this game on Trademe a week after receiving it.
That said, I can appreciate that a true RPG fan could be quite taken by this game; someone willing to stick around through the introductory stages would enjoy the depth the later stages offer, and would, in all likelihood, have a much better experience than I.
Just not my thing.
