The first thing I noticed about this ring is how clean cut the edges and points are. None of that lopsided or rounded edge business that a lot of cheap licensed products have these days. The only down side to that is that it catches on things like clothing really, really easily as the tail point hangs low below the band, making it pretty much impossible to get into jeans pockets and such. The main thing I would advise, if you get it resized, would be to take it to a very good jeweler as the one I took it to found there is some kind of mystery coating on it, to which they said it would be likely the join may not match and treating it as pure sterling silver may cause the coating to peal or bubble. When I rang and asked MightyApe about this possible coating they asked the supplier who claims it to be rhodium/white gold. I thought that was an odd coating to put on sterling silver and the jeweler said it wouldn't have turned out as well as it did being treated as pure SS if it had such coating. Whatever this coating is, it seems to scratch quite easily as it within 2 days of wearing it, though the jeweler said it would wear off anyway.
Overall it is nice and well crafted, especially for the 50% off it was. Though a little less confusion about materials would be appreciated.
