"A must have!"
5 stars"

I wasn't sure how good the Twilight soundtrack was going to be, as to be honest I hadn't heard of hardly any of the bands on this CD. After purchasing it (mainly for the “Bella's Lullaby” track) I was so glad that I had, and it hasn't left my CD player since.

After listening to this CD, I actually really liked the fact that the songs that were used on this soundtrack are a bit different to your usual teenage, run-of-the mill movie stuff. Apart from Muse, Linkin Park and Paramore, most of the artists on this CD aren't your usual chart toppers.

The soundtrack fits absolutely perfectly with the mood of the movie. The music is fitting in (most) of the scenes, and when you listen to the songs you can really understand the tale of Bella and Edwards ‘forbidden’ love.

  1. Supermassive Black Hole – MUSE

This song is fantastic, and fitted with the baseball scene in the movie perfectly. Its a very bassy, hard hitting song, that is so unbelievably catchy. Muse's lead singer Matt Bellamy, uses his falsetto voice perfectly to create a catchy but at the same time, eerie track.

  1. Decode: PARAMORE

This song was written exclusively for the movie Twilight, and was the only single and music video to be released from the CD. The song is really relevant to the movie, as it talks about trying to “decode” thoughts, and understand the other person, as both Edward and Bella had to do in the movie. It's just a shame that it was only played in the closing credits, especially since it was the most popular song off the soundtrack.

  1. Full Moon – THE BLACK GHOSTS

I love this song! Its the track that plays when Bella is leaving Arizona, to start her new life in Forks, so its a key track in understanding her journey. The Black Ghosts are mainly an electropop band, but this song is more mellow, but way catchy!

  1. Leave Out All The Rest – LINKIN PARK

I didn't think this doesn't really sound much like Linkin Park at all. The beginning of this song is really catchy, however the chorus is a bit of a let down. I don't think it particularly fits the setting for the movie, it to be honest I find this rock track really quite painful!

  1. Spotlight – MUTEMATH

This song was played when Bella and Edward first arrived at school together as a couple. It fitted that scene perfectly! This is a really catchy rock/electric song sung by a fairly unknown band Mutemath, that was written, exclusively for the Twilight soundtrack.

  1. Going All The Way (Into The Twilight) – PERRY FARRELL

This song was played as Bella and Edward entered the prom. I'm not really a fan of this electric/pop song, but I assume it was probably only stuck on the soundtrack for the relevance to it name.

  1. Tremble For My Beloved – COLLECTIVE SOUL

This song is great! It starts off really slow, but builds up pace as it goes through. There's not really a lot of singing on this track. but the catchy music makes up for that. This track is played just after Bella was just missed by the van crash.

  1. I Caught Myself – PARAMORE

Another great Paramore track, that's actually very similar to the music off their album, Riot. Its another catchy rock/pop song, that fits with the mood of the soundtrack perfectly.

  1. Eyes On Fire – BLUE FOUNDATION

The start of this song is really eerie, but its absolutely perfect for this soundtrack. The lead singer of Blue Foundation is a really talented artist, and this mellow track is a favourite!

  1. Never Think – ROB PATTINSON

Rob Pattinson, aka Edward Cullen, sings two of the songs in the Twilight movie, with this one being included on the soundtrack. Its a very basic slow ballad, most of it is just Rob singing along to his guitar. Its a very moody track, which was played when Edward and Bella were in the restaurant in Port Angeles.

  1. Flightless Bird, American Mouth – Iron & Wine

This song is so pretty, and is played in the dance scene at the prom. Its a very metaphoric song, as the lyrics themselves really make no sense unless you look into them deeper. This is another catchy slow ballad, which picks up pace as it moves on.

  1. Bella's Lullaby – CARTER BURWELL

This is an instrumental track, played mainly on piano. It's the piano piece that Edward wrote and played for Bella. This song is absolutely gorgeous and moves me every time I listen to it.

Overall the Twilight soundtrack is well worth buying. The stand out tracks would be “Supermassive Black Hole”, “Full Moon” and “Bella's Lullaby”.

The weakest tracks on this CD (and ones to potentially skip) are “Leave Out All The Rest”, and “Going All The Way”

I'd give this CD a definite 5/5 stars!

"Better that your average soundtrack"
4 stars"

The Twilight soundtrack is one of the better soundtracks that I own.

From songs already known such as Muse's Supermassive Black Hole and Paramore's Decode to lesser known songs such as (my personal fav) The Black Ghosts – Full Moon and a surprise to many Robert Pattinson (who plays Edward Cullen) who has two songs in the movie. One of which features on this soundtrack.

The soundtrack does a good job of leading the listener through their favourite scenes again and includes many songs author Stephanie Meyer had chosen for her personal book soundtrack. The listing for that can be found on her website www.stepheniemeyer.com.

What I think makes this different is there is a completely separate soundtrack for the score, so people who want just the songs don't have to buy the album and listen to only half. Although I do personally recommend the score as well, because for once, it's one that I really enjoy too.

"Fantastic soundtrack"
5 stars"

One of the most standout things about the Twilight movie is the music. the lullaby is so beautiful ive seen people driven to high emotion (i may have even seen a tear or two in the theatre) but not only that there are upbeat sounds such as spotlight. However the best songs are Decode and Supermassive black hole. The whole CD is very enjoyable and will have you listening to it over and over again
